Kickoff brought forward to Friday August 25th @ 19.45.
I assume we agreed to this, presumably with the logic that of giving us an extra day before the Monday game.
Probably a pain for a lot of those planning on going to Southend though

From another forum
We currently have 10 fit players, seems like 12 will be fit enough for Saturday. The issue for the management is who to register as the 16 they register will be the 16 they can play till either Ron goes and the embargo is cleared or we fold. Nothing particular has been said about the nature of the injuries but if it's even 4 weeks I reckon they'll have to question whether it's better to register a youth team player or register the injured player.
As I said previously the club have asked the National League if the Oldham fixture can be reversed and played at Boundary Park, I believe they have also asked for the Hartlepool game on the 19th to be reversed.
Ron was presented with another proposal last week for him to actually sell the club, it still involves Kimura but with more money behind them, he continues to stall and continues to want a finger in the pie that is Southend United.

Was at the ground yesterday, pitch is 2-3 weeks away and safety certificate not issued. Statement due from NL this evening by 5pm. Expect fixture to be reversed. We have 16 players however 3 are injured. 16 players are required and will be allowed up to x2 emergency loans 1 will need to be a keeper. Over 170 volunteers at the ground yesterday helping to prepare roots hall. As things stand need to clear HMRC by 23rd August otherwise receive a -10pts deduction. However our stay in the NL has been sanctioned this year! All being well it’s fantastic at roots hall under the lights so see you on the Friday evening. Appreciate not ideal for your support but will be a good atmosphere particularly if things are settled and embargo lifted. As for the chairman Ron Martin is moving the goalposts and awaiting sale of the club, 1 minute it’s close the next not so. It’s all speculation.

Game on at Roots Hall, regardless of what happens what a job the fanbase have done helping get the ground ready.
Best fanbase around despite the circumstances
