Just a bit of a closed season fun, After having a chuckle at that comedian that claimed Southend were a big club , it got me thinking who really are the biggest club in this League now that Notts County have gone up? I would say based on history/fan base etc it would have to be either Oldham or Chesterfield.

Has to be Oldham, the only club at this level to have played in the old first division.

Definitely one of the two, chesterfield have higher crowds averaging nearly 7000 last season. Southend probably 3rd.
They are the bookies favourites for next season as well. Oldham 9/1 and chesterfield just 5/2.

I would also have to agree Oldham as an ex premier league club…..where would you say Eastleigh fall in the category, as a club who has spent 10 years now at this level the are few smaller clubs then us, but maybe we are top 10

I said Southend are a big club at this level which we are not just fanbase but our history.
Biggest in the league has to be Oldham as ex prem closely followed by Southend and Chesterfield. I would also throw York into the mix.
That being said it’s anyone’s league this season I feel Chestetfoeld, Oldham would be favourites but I can see York and Gateshead having strong seasons

Not really, if you don't think the team you support aren't the biggest and best you can **** off. Up the spits.

Not convinced about York, they have spent more of the last 20 years below the national league than they have above it.
As for Eastleigh, somewhere in the middle.
Its a combination of factors isn't it, current league/pyramid standing, finances, crowds, ground etc + historical achievements.
I think if you can only use indicator the main one would be current gates.

My reasoning for York is although theyve been in the national league a number of season they have a good history but having recently been taken over the feel good factor that they used to have at boothferry park will be back. For home attendances alone I would out Eastleigh middleish in the league because there isn’t a great history behind and away following is poor, credit to the ones who do go week in week out

Have you seen how tall our new centre half Ludwig is, once you add the likes of MCullem and Quigley we must be up there amongst the 'biggest', let ourselves down a bit letting Cisse go. We could be giants.
