...and 1-0 was how it finished.
Physical and scrappy, 0-0 would have been a fair result but one mistake gave Barnet's de Havilland the chance to score in first half injury time. Pouring down at Altrincham, very wet pitch made it difficult for anyone to stand out.
Vinnie played all 90 mins (I think), did pretty well, had to be very disciplined and suffered his fair share of fouls. Got a harsh yellow card, had one run with a lovely cross missed by all.
England keeper Sam Howes (Wealdstone) impressed me, otherwise everyone was pretty solid. the England C manager Paul Fairclough is only two years younger then Roy Hodgson. Interestingly, no more one player from each of the National League teams was picked for the squad.
Wales C were pretty useful, not sure how the Cymru Premier is supposed to compare to the National League?
Commentary on Sgorio was incredibly biased in favour of the Welsh team.

English team TNS are the only professional club in the Cymru Prem but claim to have budget lower than Gibraltar league sides.

Vinnie more than held his own, against some very aggressive attention from the welsh strikers. Unlucky to pick up a booking but even after that didn't back off & still got stuck in under very difficult conditions. The commentators were so biased I almost felt sorry for them!
