SO much better then Tuesday! The return of Rutherford and Whitehall, plus the addition of Mitchell up front, made a big difference. I thought the formation today worked well, with the speedy Lloyd and Mitchell up front, with Whitehall behind them pulling the strings and showing another side to his game. The winning goal was a classic breakaway with a great finish by Harper. Woking will be wondering where their defenders had gone.
Woking are still third (a massive gap to the top two now) and played with the confidence that a recent run of six away wins gives you. But after the goal the crowd got behind the players, they started winning tackles and it all changed. Mitchell was unlucky with the lob after being put clear for us, but their man Dacker was even unluckier with that header that cannoned off the post.
A good win today against a top team who brought a big following. Can the team keep it up with two winnable home games to come, with a tricky away game in the middle? Consistency is the key.

We did really well against a club we have struggled against in the past. Have to say that Woking looked the real deal in the opening 20 minutes, but we then appeared to begin to believe in ourselves. Much better than Tuesday night we looked like we were enjoying at the end of the game and Woking still had a lot of fight in them. As the great Michael Ingram once said," they cant be 3rd in the table, at this point in the season ,for nothing". Nuff said!

One of their mockney fans was on the Non League FB page claiming an Eastleigh fan tried to run him over after the game?

There was no radio commentary yesterday so I only had the twitter updates & the highlights to go by, but that seemed a much more positive performance. It looked like we actually tried to play and showed some great, flowing, attacking football. But the last 1/4 of the game it looked like we crawled back into our defensive shell and were holding on again. But it's a start, and hopefully LB has realized he needs to loosen the chains a bit on our attacking ability.
