Agreed I think this does need looking at. I was surprised no one asked at the fans forum held in pre season. I’m not saying he’s guilty but I’d hoped the board did their due diligence and if any doubt ask Stocky to take a couple of games.

End of the day this is all in the past. If people want to take a pot shot at Bradbury for our performances on the pitch fair enough but to try and rake up stuff from the past that has been looked at and try and make mischief is not on.

The verdict has only just been announced so it's not 'raking stuff up from the past'.
Nobody's taking a 'pot-shot' at Bradbury, or trying to 'create mischief' (if you read my posts you'll see that I'm not one of the ones calling for him to be sacked), but he was there for three years while this was going on, so the news does merit a mention, IMO.
I must emphasise that he's not mentioned in the report.
MODS: happy for this whole thread to be removed if it becomes too 'political'.

Fair enough to mention the news but to then ask questions about Bradbury and question his integrity is mischievous at best. Not sure what he/Eastleigh could say about this. That they aren’t racist and are totally against racism? Would that help or would it just get more tongues wagging?

I've no idea if LB had anything to do with, or was even aware of this or not, but he was the assistant there at the time, so it should be investigated. A simple "we've looked into it & LB is completely exonerated and had no involvement" would suffice from the club, otherwise he will continue to, rightly or wrongly to be questioned as he is involved by association. The fact that it is "in the past" is irrelevant. Or, if that's the case, maybe we should hire Gary Glitter to run our youth development program!

No that analogy doesn’t work. Someone Bradbury used to work with has been found to be racist. That’s it. Nothing else to say

I believe that when John Yems took over as manager of Crawley in December 2019 Lee Bradbury came with him as an assistant and as Lee Bradbury only left to join Eastleigh two months before Yems was suspended it is likely that the majority of the allegations came about while Lee Bradbury was at the club. AS it seems that the accusations came from players and the inquiry was intensive it is likely that other people who were at the club may have been asked if they had anything untoward.
I think that in starting the thread hantslondoner was just asking one simple question.

It was a leading question. Not the sort of thing that needs any focus ahead of what is probably our biggest game of the season next weekend.

Actually, it wasn't. That's your interpretation of what I wrote. By the way, I would have said no more on this after my first post, until you came in all guns blazing.
I'm sure the club have done all due diligence on this so I'm sure there's no problem.
I would like to hear his thoughts on it, though, since he was there as Yems' assistant for three years while it was happening. It must have been a bad experience for him. As usspitfire says, a simple statement would suffice.

I don't think there's anything to answer as far as LB is concerned. I have worked for some 'pieces of work' but still kept to my own principles and I believe LB would do the same. I haven't always thought the best of his football management but having seen him over a number of years as player and now manager I think he is one of the good guys.
