If there is not enough supporters travelling to Dagenham under the official club travel, I believe a mini bus is arranged, then the club will no longer run a travel section for supporters and it will be a case of making their own arrangements in future to get to away games. I'm not surprised, the football the team plays away from home is awful this season, its not worth the time and money to travel to watch it. Blame the manager for this, he started it from the first game of the season at Wrexham, time wasting, defending all match, trying to snatch a goal and hold on. I think the players are better than the tactics the manager imposes on them and putting it frankly he is not good enough to manage at this level. He talks a good match on his interviews but the football is dire, I won't waste my money on this football, he needs to go before he creates history by relegating us for the first time ever. When the football improves, when we go on the road to actually play to try to win, then the supporters will begin to return to away matches, apart from those hard core loyal fanatics who deserve medals to watch the crap produced at away matches. I do wish Stewart Donald would hurry up and sell those damn shares in Sunderland, he gave our club a dream, he sold that dream to us, the job is only half finished, our club is almost on its knees financially, we need him back to revive the dream. He always said the fans are the heartbeat of the club, he made it affordable to become a fan, he financially backed away travel, he knew away support is vital, but I'll tell you this, he would'nt allow a manager to produce rubbish away from home all season and still be in the job in November, let alone Christmas, even with an impressive home record, which is the only thing keeping us nearer the play offs than the relegation dog fight.

Bradbury is exceeding my expectations massively, why the constantly griping about getting rid of him? Who you bringing in, no one ever puts names forward.....

I haven't been to any league games this season, so can't really give my comments on how LB's reign is panning out, but reading the post game posts on here and SM, it sounds like it's how he sets us up away from home that is turning the fans against him. We never appear to look like winning away games and that is where the frustrations are coming from i believe, and its certainly showing in the fact that fans have stopped travelling to away games (except the hard core fans who go to every game regardless), but the fact the club are going to pull out of organising & subsidising? away travel, tells its own story (people's finances in these hard times will be another factor in the numbers dropping off). Attendances are decent at home, as are the results in the main. We currently sit 9th in the table, which is above where i thought we would be (being realistic), so it's not all bad, but he did promising exciting attacking football and it sounds like that's not what the fans are getting if the majority of posters on here are right. Let's see where we end up at the end of the season, its pointless sacking the manager now, we have done that before and it's rarely led to better things in the league. It's a very tough league now with all the ex FL teams and teams with higher budgets. Personally, i don't think our budget will be as low as people may think, and we can be competitive. Truth be told, we are being competitive sitting in 9th place, aren't we?

With respect to Stewart Donald he may have had something to say about the appointment of Richard Hill as director of football. Richard is the only manager to get Eastleigh promoted during Stewart's time at the club and when the Todd/Moore/Allen succession did not work out Richard was employed as Director of Football to steady the ship and help find the next manager which led to Andy Hessenthaler coming here. Therefore I think that even if Stewart's return was imminent Richard Hill will probably have a significant say in Lee Bradbury's future.
Of course Stewart has always been keen to encourage away travel, but I also once attended a meeting where it was evident that some people were taking part of Stewart's generous and approachable nature and trying to involve him with all aspects of their personal life

Arthur used to run the away travel very successfully when he was managing the now defunct TSSC. What happened?

I didn't know the TSSC are defunct? When did that happen?

I didn't know the TSSC are defunct? When did that happen? Not sure exactly, but I have seen no announcements of any club meetings for what seems like a couple of seasons. I don't know if there is still any official committee and I'm not sure what is happening to the club's funds. So in the absence of any communications from the TSSC I am just assuming it's not there any more.

They still have a "live" Facebook page (The Spitfire Supporters Club) which has posts on it within the last 24 hours, so suspect they are still operational in name at least? Jacqui Groves & Kev Bennett look like they may be running it?

Yep there is The Spitfires Supporters Club Facebook Group, and Kev Bennett shows as the Admin. Nothing seen nor heard though regarding any functioning of the old TSSC as an actual supporters club with club membership and committee and organised events and activities for a long long time.

Saw some stuff about this a while ago. Didn’t a previous chairperson go off with the money?

Appalling if so. Sounds like more investigation is needed
