Do I detect a certain apathy on this website recently? This is one of the biggest matches of the season, yet no one has bothered to comment yet, [or even enquire whether the game was on or off!] The match will be on [thanks to Dan and his team], and it will be interesting to see how Wrexham compare to Notts County [the best team that we have played at home this season.] I’ve looked at Wrexham’s forum, and see that it is aptly named Red Passion. It would be great to see some passion on this website. Bring back the good old days, when car parking used to generate the record numbers of posts.

It is quiet indeed, I think with the weather, we're just looking at Twitter and hoping that all the optimism and reassurance about the pitch covers are correct. Would still have been nice to get a pitch inspection, just to make sure. Supposed to be above freezing now so hopefully will stay OK.
Either way, our home record is obviously good, and we've beaten Chesterfield and Boreham Wood, and lost to Notts County, so it will be an interesting comparision today. If we play to our potential and they don't then I feel we can get a point. I've seen them on TV a couple of times and they look unstoppable when on song. But they're not perfect away from the Racecourse. And we nearly frustrated them in the game up there....
I gather the celebrity owners might be at the Silverlake, so bring your autograph books :-) Will we be seeing a few Freench flags amongst their contingent?
If Mr.B and the boys want any more motivation here is one post from Red Passion:
'would love to see how many minutes per game the ball is actually in play - last home their sh1thousery based tactics will likely be indulged even more by the referee .... Rather than predict the score , we should maybe think about what minute they blatantly start trying to waste time , who dives the most in an attempt to get one of our boys sent off and if they take the lead, how early in the game one of their players goes down pretending to have cramp to waste time . I'm under no illusions that this will be as tough game mainly down to their non football tactics - they'd make it difficult for any team to beat , they're basically like the Donald Trump of football , as the football is secondary to their do anything we can to cheat the game into winning ..... but I still think it's winnable for us'

Just one of those you'd want to print off and pin up on the home dressing room wall.

I could've paid to watch the game today but decided to watch Portugal v Morocco instead. LB's tactics have left me totally underwhelmed, and the way we didn't even bother to compete v Notes County had me expecting the same today. I even predicted we'd lose in the prediction league this week - something I have NEVER done before.

Obviously didn't pin up anything on the dressing room wall as we managed 2 attempts on goal in the first half and decided to give their keeper a rest second half.
Usual wait until 60 mins + gone before Bradbury decides to do anything to try and change the game which by then was far too late.
Gave them far too much time on the ball especially for the goals and were comfortably beaten by the better team.
2 more lovely games away from home to come to see if we can start quicker or do the basics better!

We did OK but they're a class side. Both goals were avoidable, albeit well-executed. Young was left unmarked virtually the whole of the first half, and he made one of the goals and had another good effort saved. We tried hard but they looked comfortable for the most part. Just JJ's shot that hit the bar after a lovely move not long after their first, and their keeper also had to save an effort from Hill. Couldn't fault the subs, but they couldn't make any impression. Much as I like Rutherford, I felt he was a bit lightweight for this sort of contest, to a lesser extent Hill (and Lloyd, when he came on) too. The ref wasn't as bad as last week but he seemed horribly biased - we won the card count 6-1 but most of them were harsh. Hard to choose between Wrexham and Notts County at the moment but I suspect Wrexham have the stronger squad and will make it in the end. I gather one of the two celeb owners was here today, shame he didn't come and say hello ;-) Not that I'd have recognised him.

Wrexham could hold their own in League One never mind League Two. I felt Notts County played the slightly better football when they visited but I agree I expect Wrexham to win the title, just.

Lost to two good goals and after the second goal came right at the end of the first half it was always going to be difficult to get back in the game. Ron Lee's son has now scored three times against us this season.

Was probably always going to a tough one with the gulf between the clubs. Do think we did ok after going behind, but the 2nd on halftime killed the game.

Watched the first half on the dodgy stick, amazing footage with live action replays and feed of radio Solent running perfectly on top. Thought we played absolutely fine apart from the two goals, standing off Tozer who won't hit a strike like that again until he retires and standing off Lee for second, Maghoma throws his arms up like the modern player does once they've cocked up and Joe gets lobbed from 20 yards. On the streaming , have I got it right that of the 100% steaming fee, 15% goes to national League 'infrastructure' , 25% shared into a pot for all 3 leagues, and 60% shared between the two clubs playing ,you are asked to select who you support so theoretically Eastleigh could have made 0% from hosting and putting the effort in to Saturday. I would have paid if I knew I would be around for the game and will next time for home games definitely as it was very good quality.

www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/news/2023/february/national-league-tv--early-insight/2697 fans bought a stream to this game. My previous post states percentages of divided 'profits' which I have only had confirmed via the price of football podcast around this time. That's alot of money for one club to make off a game they didn't host. The reason why Wrexham wanted the streaming service activated was to enhance their coffers and judging by the amount they've already made it was a clever decision, the National League once again rolled over, all it will do is manufacture an even bigger widening between the top 3/4 and the rest of us, just like the boring premier league
