I think that like our match with Scunthorpe, the match between Boreham Wood and Oldham was originally scheduled for 10th September but got called off for obvious reasons. Are the dates of rearranged fixtures determined by the clubs themselves or the league? If it is the former, they may be allowed to do it if both teams agree, and the fixture is not pushed too far back.
OF course, in our case Scunthorpe are already out of the F A Cup.

Don't forget this is the league that changed its tune to different clubs during the pandemic and is currently changing its rules for the 1 Welsh club under its guidance.

The fixtures scheduled for September 10th were pretty much moved en-masse to November 1st following the cancellation of the Games after the queens passing. www.thenationalleague.org.uk/new-dates-for-postponed-national-league-fixtures-72402this meant rule 8.39 (that games be rearranged within 42 days) had not been followed, but it could reasonably be argued that exceptional circumstances had occurred. But a 2nd postponement from November 1st to a later date? Is having an FA Cup match against another Conference club (us) "just cause"? I can't see how it is. I assume that Boreham Wood and Oldham both agreed to ask to postpone the match and the league ratified it. I think that the league have broken their own rules to disadvantage a member club (Eastleigh). Hopefully this injustice will give the players just a little bit energy on Saturday and help us a get a result.

I think that it is very possible that in circumstances where a league has to reschedule a whole set of league fixtures due entirely to a matter completely outside the control of either themselves or the clubs then it is in my view very possible to regard the new date as effectively the original date.
I expect that 1st November may have been the first midweek date where all of the clubs were free to play.

Yeah that’s possible.
Still think it’s unreasonable of the league to sanction the game being called off when it disadvantages 2 of its member clubs (us and Wrexham, Oldham’s opponents). Also think it reflects poorly on Boreham wood and Oldham, postponing games without good reason could leave them behind on games later in the season and potentially impact on their league seasons.
I feel an Eastleigh win tomorrow would be karma :-)

At least Boreham Wood and Oldham have got a new date for their fixture. In the National League South three matches were postponed on Tuesday night due to the fact that one of the teams were in F A Cup action and their opponents were happy to agree to the postponement. On the other side of the coin Halifax who are in F A Cup action this weekend were lamenting the postponement of their match on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch, even though their F A Cup opponents played an important league game on Wednesday.
I wonder if we had rather our league match with Scunthorpe was postponed and if the answer is whether we needed Scunthorpe to agree to it.

I wouldn’t have thought so, we are playing Boreham wood* not Man City!
*well aware that we are likely to get beaten :-(
This is the 7th time in 9 seasons we have been in the 1st round which is decent but about what you’d expect given it’s only 1 tie to get though against the same level or lower opposition. Right, I have said enough.
LETS DO THIS

I see Boreham wood dropped points at home tonight to allow us to move level with them. Maybe they should have called the game off after the exertions of playing Saturday?
