So what gives today?
Might just be a good time to face them. They were top, but have slipped down after losing 2 in a row.
However chesterfield are unbeaten away from home - of course we are unbeaten at home.
So a draw then!

It could have gone either way at the end but Camp's far post header from a corner was a joy. Great afternoon and if we play more like this maybe an outside shot at the play offs is not just a dream.

Great result! No idea how the game was as Radio Solent have turned their backs on us this season! :-( We must be top of the league in goals scored in the first & last couple of minutes of each half!

So much better today with a 4-5-1 formation although we struggled to adjust a little when they tweaked their formation in the 2nd half. Yes we mostly played football instead of just lumping forward. Their goal was an unusual and unfortunate for us mistake by McDonnell where he tried to parry a close cross away but it went the wrong side of the post. I only saw 2nd half but gather we were on top in the first too. Ref seemed to miss quite a lot but let the game flow. Someone tell Abrahams that wasting time doing up his laces is not big and not clever. Nice to have a brief word with Vinny and Mags . Hopefully both back by the end of the month.

Really enjoyed that thought we played well and were the better team against one of the big boys in the league. Abrahams worked his socks off all game deserved MOM.

Agree - great game. We were set up well. and as well as working really hard we had such a positive attitude.
We stood to-to-toe with one of the best teams in the league who have a far bigger budget that we have (I gather they have several injuries and new faces at the moment). I think they will finish play-offs at least, and we were as good as they were.
Midfield was particularly good today, JJ, Charlie Carter and Jake Hesketh showed real quality. Langston was superb at the back, as well as of course Brennan Camp, who scored the winner.
Tristan Abrahams led the line superbly and IMO deserved his man-of the match.
However.... the officials were awful (missed so much pushing and holding) and the first goal was never a free-kick to us - Abrahams clearly pushed his man, who fell onto the ball, right in front of the linesman. And after both goal, as spitfiresteve said, he delayed the kick off by stopping in the opposition half to tie his shoelaces. This happened against Halifax too. It's blatant gamesmanship, and he should have got a yellow card after the second today, I think. Mr. B., please stop this sort of nonsense before it comes back to bite us!

Maybe working his socks off is why his laces keep coming undone 😉

So proud of that win. We may not have the budget for a 20 goal a year centre forward but what a fantastic job Lee Bradbury and backroom team have done in bringing in so many talented probing midfielders and exciting attacking full backs. I am sure there will still be criticism but the position the club finds itself in today is something to be proud of. And remember some of the quality players we till had missing this weekend.
Up the away form and we could be there or there abouts. Whatever let's all enjoy days like that.
