I don't think the game would have been a lot different in 20 degrees, credit to both teams for giving it their all.
I think the person most affected by the heat was the ref - so many yellow cards for Eastleigh, the controversial winning goal (if he was determined to ignore his linesman, he should have at least talked to him before confirming the goal), the 'last man' foul by the Stones' Elerewe that wasn't punished (if it wasn't a foul, then why not a yellow card for diving?).... and a few more. At least the two managers got to warm up their vocal cords in preparation for the rest of the season.
New signing Oyenuga looked useful in the first half, Camp and Martin played well at the back, and McKiernan was notable for his tackling. I see we've copied Wrexham by having a long throw specialist.
We looked pretty solid in defence again for the most part and, despite a few good moves, struggled to break down opponents who battled away and will feel unlucky to have lost.
I see Dag and Red lost at Woking (who have strengthened a lot this season) so it might be another close game on Tuesday, in hopefully more normal temperatures.

Well played today Eastleigh. Solid defending restricted wealdstone's shots on target to zero I believe. Unlucky not to win 2-0, a great shot hitting the post fairly late in the game. Lets hope the form continues Tuesday evening.
One further point, our vocal support is awful. We must have the worst vocal support in the league. Its embarrassing.

Lots of big part players out so early in the season such as Magoma, Cisse, Atangana, Whitehall. So all in all a decent win with many players producing very good performances in alien roles for them.

Worst decision ever getting rid of the roof behind the goal and now all the away fans are pushed together under a lovely low roof that amplifies their noise

A 4th win in 16 for Bradbury after taking us to the heady heights of 19th from starting at 15th, is this the first time he's taken us up the table?

Didn’t go yesterday but saw a vlog thing as is the modern way these days, my goodness the little nursery that was the away fans , how pathetic with the ‘Come on then and hand gestures, one even tried to climb over, ridiculous! They should of let him and stolen his rattle! There was a view of the big stand obviously still having work done, any updates on that? Maybe it’s a more permanent structure being put in place so no damage as before, maybe an opportunity to change seat colour aswell?

One further point, our vocal support is awful. We must have the worst vocal support in the league. Its embarrassing. Certainly agree with the above, slowly been losing any type of atmosphere since we arrived up to the national league and that was 8 years ago. I know the end of last season didn't bring much joy but should always bring a buzz an a atmosphere. The "shed end" lost it's appeal soon as that corporate end was shoved right behind it. The roof is solely to keep the windows clean doesn't do much else.

Stood in the terrace near the halfway line tonight first half & behind the goal second half. Thought there was a reasonable enough atmosphere, specially considering our lack of attacking play.
Anyway well done to those that do create a noise & am Sure more vocal fans added to them would be welcomed by all.

The roof is solely to keep the windows clean doesn't do much else. I read ages ago that the roof is that height because any lower and corporate wouldn't be able to see the goal. Anyone with half a brain would've made the roof a lot lower and a bit shorter.
