The manager has made some excellent signings over the summer and I can't see this squad anywhere near the bottom of the table. I imagine the club will be wanting to be in one of the play off slots.....for the title we are 100-1....but you never know do you!!!! I look at a starting point of 24 wins, 11 draws, 11 defeats, which gives us 83 points, that will be a play off spot for sure which I believe is doable, overall then I'm saying top 9 at the very least. What do you think?

I have had a little wager at 100-1, at least more interesting compared to waiting 9 months for payback of 6-4 on Wrexham.
More in terms of hope but with general optimism for the season and let's not forget twice in the last few seasons outsiders have come out of the pack to win the title in terms of Sutton and Macclesfield.
My guess though would 6th, 7th or 8th.

12th with possibly flirting with the play offs. A good cup run would be nice this year. Third round of the FA Cup would be a brilliant aspiration.

Higher than last season, probably in the region of 12th-16th. Some people I've spoken to are more optimistic. but there are so many big teams in this division now it will be hard to break into the top 10- not impossible.
First choice team looks quite strong now, but IMO we need a bit more strength in depth. Yes, it would be great to have a cup run too!

16th to 20th. No depth, August looks a horrific month could come away with just a point v Wealdstone and prop up the table come the live game on BT

Mid table taking into consideration injuries/suspensions. We still are short on depth which is understandable with our budget. Still think we need a pacey striker who can score/create chances working with Whitehall. As Callum says we also have a very tough start to the campaign.

Don't think we can rely on the forwards we got, certainly need more depth
Bottom half finish with this squad

Sadly, I'm predicting our first relegation in our history. I REALLY hope I am wrong, but that squad looks very fragile and shallow. If they can stay fit we will be ok, but if we get one or 2 injuries/suspenions then we will be in trouble.

I never thought anyone would tip us for relegation!!! Especially from Mark who is such a loyal supporter. We have the best goalkeeper in the league, we look solid in central defence, and we have I believe a defensive midfielder which should make us difficult to break down. This alone encourages me this team will not be in a relegation fight, but obviously injuries and suspensions are the unknown issues during the season. I would have liked us to have gone for Michael Cheek, ok he's 31 this month but I believe he can get us 20 goals, he could do for us what Paul McCallum did. Overall the manager looks to have done good business and he may not be finished just yet in the transfer market. Its a good mixture of young and experienced players, I honestly believe we will be the surprise package this season given where we finished last time out.

I'll go 6-10, i've been impressed with our signings so far and agree we will be more solid this year, but our goal threat is my main concern. We still don't have the pacey striker who will get 20+ goals, that i feel we need. But there is still time to bring one in.

A lot of pessimism on here. Surely, this is the time in the season when EVERY football supporter forgets the previous season, and think that their team will be world beaters. I think we’re have decent season, even I can’t be convinced about taking 100/1 to be Champions.

In our 8 seasons at this level we have made the playoffs twice and missed out on the last day twice so heart says we have a chance. I don't see us being involved in the relegation picture.
Its hard to predict, I reckon maybe 14th. Agree it looks like we have made some decent signings, but its worth bearing in mind that are coming from a base of 19th last season. I don't think mid/lower mid table is going to excite anyone but it could be argued to be progress on last season.
Up front is the obvious area where we look short, am sure we will bring someone in this month, I really thought we would before the start of the season.
However 2 strikers getting 5 each in preseason is a good sign (has that ever happened before?!)

I am always the optimist, but I just think this squad looks very fragile. We've got a tough start which could leave us playing catch up by early September, and we only need 1 or 2 injuries, especially to the keeper or strikers and we will be left spread VERY thinly. But as Shirley will tell you, I am notoriously poor at predicting and so we will probably be promoted as Champions!

I do find it scandalous that the 92 can use 5 subs and have 9 for Prem and 7 for EFL on the bench whereas we keep with 3 to use and 5 on the bench but play the same games as EFL, therefore we'll never have a sub keeper in all likelihood.
