We battled well all game and I think were unlucky not to get a point, although you could argue that after two horrendous defensive errors means you deserve nothing.
The first 40 mins was a stalemate and boring to watch. Broadbent went off injured meaning we had to reshuffle the defence.
However, there were no excuses for not marking their man at a corner and allowing him time to hammer home a shot. For the second, yes, Miley lost the ball in the area, but there were two Halifax forwards and no Eastleigh defenders within five yards of him to recover the ball.
We scored a good goal after the break and gave them a lot of trouble. To see the third top team in the league waste time so blatantly in the last 20 mins shows that they felt under pressure.
The forwards didn't look like scoring, Smart livened things up when he came on for Broadbent, not sure why he was replaced by Pitman later on - injury?
3068 attendance? LOL.
