Beautiful day shame about the football and effort by some paid to play in blue. Bromley bossed that game and we barely laid a glove on them. The record under Bradbury is now absolutely awful. I am seriously concerned about him being in charge next season. If Kings Lynn show any late season form I think there is still a chance we could go down too.

First league win in eleven for Bromley, but we made them look a decent side.
1) defence was generally solid as usual - both goals were good ones
2) everything in front of the defence was poor - having three forwards (Whitehall, Barnett and Pitman) on and alternating dropping one back and playing the other two up didn't work and this was clear after half an hour - the manager HAD to change it. Apart from the forwards not firing, we were one light in midfield, as neither Barnett nor Pitman are Harry Kane) and Bromley took full advantage of that.
3) Smart on the right was marked out of the game in the first half, he was then switched to the left, but when the subs came on it was clear that Kelly and Harper work well together on that side and they should start that way.
4) Pritchard should be our main set-piece taker now that Whelan has left. We suffered when he wasn't available, now he is, why are other people taking them, and taking them badly?
We need four points from our remaining six games to stay up, even if Kings Lynn (five - Grimsby and Dag and Red the next two) or Weymouth (seven, including Notts Co, Wrexham and Solihull)) win all their remaining games - we really aren't going down. But we need to sort things out for next season. Today's setup does not give me a lot of hope.

Went to the game, paid £20. To be fair I thought Bromley looked quite bright and tried to play through the thirds, whereas Eastleigh were bereft of ideas just a few observations of the game:
McDonall - From where I was in the ground it didn’t look like he had any chance with both goals.General sound. Camp - Pretty solid defensively. Nothing going forward when the team is possession. Broadbent - A poor performance. Doesn’t look comfortable with the ball at his feet. Poor distribution. Not sure he’s up to this level of football. Boyce - Solid defensively Harper - Probably Eastleigh’s most attacking player from left back. Became lost when moved further forward in the second half. Miley - Hard working, generally neat and tidy. However never broke the lines and offered little from a creative perspective. Pritchard - Didn’t know he was playing Smart - Looks devoid of confidence. Ineffective 1v1. Poor crosses. Pitman - I’m not sure what he offers the team. Played in minefield, continually slowed the game down. Lack of fitness well documented. Barnett - Offered very little. Needs to hold the ball up more effectively Whitehall - Well marshalled by the Bromley defence. Little impact.
I’m not sure what the game plan is from Bradbury and the coaching team or for that matter where the next points are going to come from.
One last thing. If the football on the pitch was a little more entertaining the wannabe ‘gangsters’ behind the goal might have something to entertain them rather than constantly antagonising the Bromley fans with chants of peado.

Dreadful , i dont normally have a go at our own side but , that was dreadful. Im sorry to say it but half the side are not up to the standard required . Also , nothing personal , i dont think we have a manager capable of moving us to the next level . We offloaded players who are still better than what we have now . I for one am not happy with the way things are going , and todays performance was one of the worst i have seen for many years .

But I thought this was a great 'new chapter' for our club with our amazing new fake spitfire badge?! I agree, I too am becoming increasingly concerned about Bradbury but the fault does not rest with him. The board are completely to blame. The board don't have a finances, football acumen or experience to run Eastleigh. The best thing that can happen is that they look for new investors and move on. The board need to hold their hands up and say they are not up to it. It's going to be an interesting summer and pre-season for sure.

Oh how I'd chuckle if a few away chaps broke cover and scattered those mouthy little sods. They seriously need to come up with something more original than the same old dirge that comes out of their brain dead repertoire.

Not there today as at the Portsmouth v Lincoln game. To rub salt in our 'current squad' wounds Ben House came on as sub and scored with his first touch to make it 2-2. Ended up on losing team though.

Going backwards.... Yes I probably was one to say it was going a bit stale under strevs but honestly don't think it's a step forward under LB
We finish the season as we are I can't see season ticket season sales being very high.
Investment needed if it's a SD return that would be a boost the club needs!

We played like a bunch of part timers today and from his post match interview, LB seems to be deluding himself if he thinks we started both halves well. You could have got any 11 players from anywhere and turned them out for the first time together and they would have looked as well prepared and organised as we did at any time today. I think best to get a decent management team in place, ideally involving Jason Bristow, and let them be part of the player retention and recruitment process for next season. Apart from losing Ben Strevens and his partnership with Jason Bristow, the Board have probably done everything they could whilst they have been custodians of the club. They clearly don't have access to any funds beyond the revenue streams the club can gain from its normal operations, including commercial sponsorships, and would have been realistically unable to keep the players who have moved on for transfer fees. They made a big step forward in managing to get the grant to replace the pitch. That is looking like the club's biggest asset at the moment with the various representative games it is starting to attract. The other major asset of course is the fantastic increase in match attendances.

Eastleigh get half decent crowds because its cheap. If the club aligns their season ticket prices with the average in the national league, you can see the gates getting cut in half.

I think that Bromley passed the ball better than we did and their play was more cohesive. I was also surprised to see Brett Pittman in a deeper role even with the injuries. Lee Bradbury played with Pittman at AFC Bournemouth and would know Pittman's game better than most.
I think the current board is in a difficult position. I think it is fair to say that the club moved from a position from where it was difficult to afford promotion from the Conference South to a National League club with excellent faccilities and a good fanbase largely through Stewart Donald's money. We do not currently have the spending power we used to and I am not sure what kind of position the current board members are in with regard to potential investors or even selling the club should these options be on the table.
Whereas I personally think that the board have done a good job in keeping the club stable in difficult circumstances I am not sure how well they understand the club's heritage and do not think that the issue with the club's badge has been handled particularly well even though some of the newer supporters seem happy with it.

The match statistics indicate we had 4 shots on goal during the game, 2 on target, while Bromley had 14 shots on goal, 6 on target, while on the corner front Bromley had 6 to our 2.
Our team selection included the two players who had comfortably our best record for goals scored per minutes on the pitch plus a player who has 182 football league goals, but I think it is fair to say that the combination was not effective.
Despite the fact that this was the fourth occasion in the eight league games since Lee Bradbury took over as manager that we have failed to score, our average number of goals scored per league game has actually increased since he took over, but so have the number of goals conceded.
