If he put as much effort in playing as he did moaning at his team mates he would be a lot better.

He should have retired a couple of years ago. Waste of space is being charitable. But the board are at fault for sanctioning such a pointless signing. It should have been obvious he has nothing left to offer at this level.

I think a lot of people on here think that Brett Pitman is either unsuited to National League football or past his best and it is very possible they are right. However I personally would not definitely conclude that is the case at this stage. In our second most recent game he scored one and made one and fans of AFC Bournemouth and Portsmouth think highly of his goalscoring ability and Lee Bradbury played alongside him at AFC Bournemouth when he scored prolifically.
I also think it is fair to say that our midfield in recent games have not exactly been firing on all cylinders and creating chances by the dozen. I also think that Paul McCallum's scoring record improved when we were able to play to his strengths by getting balls into the box and if we are able to do something similar with Brett it is possible we maybe able to increase his goalscoring output when it is fair to say we could do with a player who is able to score goals regularly.

Useless. F**k**g useless. Send him back. Get rid. He does nothing and looks so uninterested. He needs to go back to Bristol Rovers. Slower than a three-legged donkey. He is only here to pick up a good pay cheque from an eastleigh board who do not have a clue.

I get the impression from fans I have spoken to of league clubs that he has played for that he is a goal poacher type of player and not someone works hard for the team and I think people have seen saying that we need a goalscorer.
Four seasons ago he scored 24 league goals in league 1 and I think it is fair to say that he has not looked like replicating that with us, although of course he could prove us wrong today.
I think that one of the following applies
1) His knack of scoring goals has declined in the last four years.
2) HIs game is not really suited to non-league football.
3) It is not easy for a goalscorer at Eastleigh and we are not playing to strengths. Paul McCallum was much more prolific in his second season when we were able to play to his strengths and the player who scored twice for Barnet against us was a player we did not really rate when he was at Eastleigh, but he seems to have done well at Barnet and was a success at Kings Lynn prior to joining Eastleigh.
4) When you are struggling for results you need players who work hard for the team

Pitman has spent the whole of h/t chatting rather than warming up. Lazy git.

Did the other substitutes warm up and is it protocol for the substitutes to warm up at the half time interval? I thinking talking at the half time interval would not be an issue if we were satisfied with his efforts on the pitch.
This was the third successive games that Pitman has either come on as substitute or been substituted late in the game. Against Barnet he came on as substitute and we conceded a late goal after he came on, at Kings Lynn we conceded two and scored one after he came off, while on Monday no additional goals were scored after he came on.
