"Interesting that nine people have replied to this this thread". Yet next to nothing when there's something Eastleigh fc to discuss. 🙄 I’m surprised that nothing has been said about the academy lad who made his debut against Solihull. I would love to know how he got on and if we have any others coming through to keep an eye on. I asked that on the Solihull match thread but got no reply. People who go on away trips don't seem to post on here very often. There will probably be more young players featured during the rest of the season, as stated by Mr B on his post-match interview on Twitter. By the way, everybody, there's a match tonight v Dag and Red ;-)

I I think the club putt on a lot of good things on social media and the photography is excellent. However at times I think they use it to the exclusion of other means of communication.
I read the Southern Daily Echo every day including the match reports and there has been no mention there of the comings and goings of players, or the players who were missing through covid on Saturday. I bumped into people that follow the results closely and they were unaware of these factors. Some people on this forum have felt very much that Sam Smart should be given more game time and his return would be of interest.
With regard to the Sunderland issue I think whether Sunderland get promoted this season may affect the share price, so I think that any movement on that front may be more likely after the season has finished.

The following was posted on our other forum by Sattsy, who is barred from this forum. Isn’t it about time that he was invited back, with the appropriate apologies for excluding him. His presence on here would certainly stimulate conversation.
I finally went to my first game of the season last night.
My thoughts:-
The lads worked very hard against what i thought was an average D&G team, who whilst they controlled the majority of possession, didn't do much with it, other than lump it up to Paul McCallum and hope for the best. For our side, we looked sharp and industrious in midfield, but with Cav & Silva in the middle of the park, although they both have great engines and get up and down the pitch, neither really have much quality on the ball in possession, so most of our work was either also lumping it up top, or trying to work down the wings (mainly the right hand side) but without a natural winger starting the game on either side, this was fruitless and it wasn't until Sam Smart came on just before half time for the injured Camp, that we started to make inroads down the right hand side. Second half Smart had a lot more joy down the right wing, particularly in the last 15 mins and put in some decent crosses, but they all came to nothing. Brett Pitman was playing up top with Danny Whitehall, but Brett hasn't been playing in that position for years now (he's been playing as a deeper than normal no.10), so was a bit lost and Danny lacks pace to get on the end of things when Smarty bursts down the wing and throws in crosses. At the back we looked pretty solid and it was a mistake that led to the goal, but other than that (and a saved penalty) i didn't think D&G really threatened us much. Conclusion is that we desperately need a ball playing central midfielder who can pick and thread passes into the feet of the strikers, or hit defence splitting passes that a quicker forward will burst on to. Without that, i can see why we don't score many goals and the worry thing for me was that we didn't create many clear cut chances & never had a single shot on target in 95 mins of football. We also need a striker who can hold the ball up, and a quick striker who can make runs that a decent ball player would pick out. We are safe this year, so it will all be about moving players out and bringing new in, to get the kind of team that will make us more creative and score more goals, which i'm sure Bradders will be onto already.

Didn't go to the game, but Sattsy's review is very inciteful, and far more of a critique than most game reviews I see on here.
Agree with Bruce Forbes, time to let bygones be bygones and welcome Sattsy & others back to this forum. If they want to, of course.

Interestingly, after I told Paul about my post, he has tried to register on this forum. Needless to say, he hasn’t been accepted. I despair that we have cancel culture on this website. Maybe I should stick to the other website and ditch this one.

Too right, it’s a joke these days, blokes competing as women at sport, people kneeling for some blm b0llocks. Too many soft people that are on another planet. Country has gone right downhill since 2016 when we should have got Brexit sorted, even that took 4 years, woke millennials have got a lot to answer for

A few drinks last night, perhaps?
"Woke Millenials" must be one of the most overused & misused terms in the current day.

Attempt at right wing, edgy, provocative comedy there. Suggest you ask Jim Davidson if you have a chance of making it into the big time. Or ask the S*n, E*****s and M**l for a regular column.

I used to view and post regularly on here but I now have to keep logging in when I didn’t previously. It’s a right pain in the arse. Enjoyed Sattsys forum for the prediction league but there wasn’t much else. It’s not a club run forum so admin should #letsattsyin

I do not think this is a club run forum and certainly the club do not post on here because of this. I am not sure who the current moderators of this forum are.
I logon each time I use the forum, but I certainly do not have to type in my full username and password each time.
