It is probably unsurprising that the forum has not grown with the club's expanding support. Possibly 10 years ago, when the forum was getting going and building up, a lot of the keenest supporters would use and look at the forum regularly. Their numbers naturally will now diminish as those people move away or become less able to support regularly. At the same time many of the newer fans will be more aligned to using social media for their online Spitfires football fix. Looking at the number of views each post is getting though, it seems there is still enough interest to justify keeping the forum going. Also I find that the "21/22 so far and next up at Eastleigh FC" thread is a more reliable and accurate source of info on the team's results and fixtures than the clun website which has often been error prone.

Yes, probably not the place to come for news and opinion, and certain groups prefer other social media, as back4more says. A lot of feedback/opinion seems to be 'bitesize' now, which suits other media. Not much in-depth analysis and discussion. Other clubs' fans seem to manage it, though.
It's not well used, but I think it should be kept open by the club, as I feel there is a time when it will be needed.
There are a number of negative posters who don't help.

Definitely keep the forum going, it goes quiet now and then but good results and activity around the club brings people on here to chat , express opinion etc I like to dip in and out of it and say the odd thing that may get a position or negotiate reaction but that’s what it’s all about.

Keep it open but the world has changed?
What are the kids on now, Facebook, Twitter, instagram, TikTok? Find it hard to keep up with the latest

20 points of the pay offs and 15 points of relegation. Any buzz has gone. The forum follows the team. No expectation and not much to look forward to. Away support waining. Unless something major changes, next season could be even worse.

Interesting that nine people have replied to this this thread, the majority of them in favour of keeping it. I think that apart from the prediction league our other forum has been fairly quiet recently and more clubs use twitter, facebook and the like rather than forums like this.
The club seemingly do not use it all as they regard it as an unofficial forum and if anything they say gets posted on here someone else has to cut and paste it. I personally find it easier to see at a glance which threads have been either added to or started rather than scrolling down several twitter posts on a regular basis.
Actually after arriving home late last night having not seen the game and hearing Lee Bradbury' interview it was only then we had five players out with covid and I became aware that Hill, Pritchard, Kelly, Broadbent and Bragg were not in the 16, although I am not certain that all of these players were ruled out with covid.
From this interview I also found out that Sam Smart and Dan Smith have been recalled from their loan spells and Tjay de Barr has finished his loan spell.

The club seemingly do not use it all Close the other forum a club only needs one forum for people to air their views and for the people to who run the forum to allows views as that's the point in a forum. I joined the other forum but other than the prediction league which used to be really popular on this forum, it's gets a bit dull. Let every one become one and air the views as they wish what a forum is about!!

"Interesting that nine people have replied to this this thread". Yet next to nothing when there's something Eastleigh fc to discuss. 🙄

"Interesting that nine people have replied to this this thread". Yet next to nothing when there's something Eastleigh fc to discuss. 🙄 That does seem weird. I keep looking on here to see if there’s any movement regards the Sunderland take over, or if any new players have arrived. I’m surprised that nothing has been said about the academy lad who made his debut against Solihull. I would love to know how he got on and if we have any others coming through to keep an eye on.
