I dont like to leave a game too early but today I could have left at half time. Dreadful spectacle. The whole club just feels listless at the moment. We wont go down but what is there to get excited about? Oh we have a new spitfire badge, zzzzz. The board need to look for new investment in the summer.

Life post-Strevs sees the team battle well, but fail to produce much in front of goal, in the two home games I've seen.
I agree, this game was awful - I found the visitors' style particularly irritating, with niggles, timewasting and petty fouls the order of the day. They were the better side in the first half, the second was more even and we could even have pinched it at the end, but no way did we deserve to.
Only bright spark I saw was de Barr coming on as sub, he looked lively and willing to get stuck in.

The game lacked the fluency we have seen when we've been at our strongest but, considering the background of recent management and squad changes, I was happy with the end result.
Our start was littered with mistakes and, even as the game went on, there were a good few misplaced passes.
On reflection though I wasn't too surprised at that considering the changes that we began with - management group, team set up, player changes, etc.
On the positive side the work rate across the team was excellent. If that continues to be taken into training and the current very promising coaching trio of Jason, Danny and Ross is given a chance to bed the new players in and develop the squad from there, we might be enjoying some entertaining and positive results through the rest of the season.
No chance of the play-offs? Just take each game as it comes right now methinks.

That was an absolute dreadful game . Im not sure where Eastleigh are going right now . The attendances have gone up which is great but, if that is what is going to be served up every week those attendance figures will plummet . I am aware we no longer have the budget that the big boys of the league have but , with the squad we have got we should still be able to put in a performance above what we saw today . Very dissapointing to say the least .

Attendances have risen. But dont be fooled in thinking that they're paying punters. There's a sizable amount of free tickets given away lately to kids in one capacity or another. Look at the recent 'free away travel' scenario. There's a lot of people who love a freebie, when it comes to paying out they're gone like a rat up a drainpipe. If l wasnt a season ticket holder l wouldn't be down there every week watching the crap served up today.

Yup Aldershot was definately a low point.
I thought we played OK today although didn't really posess much of a goal threat, which a pretty big although when you are at home to a midtable side.
But given our awful form and the transition period at the club, I'm not sure what is expected. I was reasonably happy with a point.
We do need a win though would lift the whole club.
THe slightly longer term picture as I see it, is we effectively have a 6 month pre season to August. Thats not a terrible position to be in as a club, as long as we use the time wisely.
The biggest question of all is who will be our next manager, whilst there is no rush I hope we appoint by early May at the latest so they can get on with building a squad for next season.
