Archie Wilcox was a main stay of our Academy over the last few years. Anyone who watched Academy games over the years will know he was a dominant centre half who scored a hat full of headers from corner kicks. He was in the EDS team that reached the National Cup Final against Chester last season. Unfortunately he missed out on a professional contract this season with the club deciding to go with his central defensive partner Tom Bragg, who made his league debut against Weymouth on Sunday. Archie continued to play at Wessex League Fareham, where he had been dual registered during his Academy playing days. Unfortunately he now needs an operation on one of his shoulder to continue playing, but because of his age it will not be covered under the NHS. There is a JustGiving page to help fund this privately. I have included the link below. Hopefully some people who have watched or been involved with him during his Eastleigh stay may wish to help Archie. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/help-archLink should be correct, above, now.

Thanks. I would urge all fellow Spitfires to give to this, if you’ve got a spare few quid.
