Sounds good to me :0) Hopefully we will continue our decent home form.

I was 1 goal out. Result aside, probably the most boring game I've been to in my memory.

I thought it was a superb performance by the Spitfires - solid throughout against a top team. Everyone worked their socks off.
First half was tight, second half more open as they had to come out more and we had a couple of very good chances even to increase the scoreline. County still haven't beaten us, in five attempts.
Home record looks pretty impressive, why can't we do the same away?

I thought we lost 4-0 there on the day before lockdown froze the league. What was the crowd today? Was number of visitoing fans given out? I saw they had 13k plus at home the other week.

Sorry, yes, I misread the previous results - we have indeed lost to them, once. But we have won the other four! Attendance was given as 2817, with 443 from County.

I thought it was a superb performance by the Spitfires - solid throughout against a top team. Really? All I saw in the first half were misplaced passes from both teams all over the shop and one lame shot on target. Then the 1st goal. I posted the original post near the end of the 1st 45. 2nd half was a bit better

Really decent performace today. Defensively very strong. I am sure we are well chuffed with only our 2nd clean sheet of the season.
Fairly modest number of County fans given their large home support I would say.
Great win. Only 5 points off D & R in 7th with a game in hand.
Of course we face them on Tuesday, now about that away form...

I thought we set out to disrupt their passing game, which, if they'd been allowed to implement it, would probably have beaten us. The first half was scrappy and shows we succeeded in that. In the second half, a goal down, they had to change it a bit and the game was more open, they only had a couple of serious shots on goal, and Housey could/should have had a couple for us as we were dangerous on the break and created chances. The plan seemed to work very well. I also notice we had only three outfield players on the bench.

So do I, but I could admire the performance yesterday, and of course I was pleased that Eastleigh won. I also enjoy seeing an underdog beating a bigger team. We've had some pretty entertaining games at the Silverlake this year, this one looked more like a question of 'doing a job'. Most of the County forum expected to win, they weren't too pleased about the result.

It will be great once these 'big' clubs realise they are bang average like the rest of us. 3 visits to little Eastleigh 3 comprehensive defeats.
