Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce plans to launch a new Scholarship Programme for 16-18 Girls football, starting in the 2022/23 season.
This exciting addition to our rapidly growing Academy will run alongside the existing Boys Scholarship Programme, which continues to successfully provide a platform for 16-18 year olds to learn, train, and play for the football club, since its formation over a decade ago.
With the success on the pitch of our Eastleigh Ladies side, who now play in step five of the Women’s Football Pyramid and boast a reserves team and a growing youth set up, we are looking forward to building fantastic pathways to the First Team in both Men’s and Women’s football.
This means we are now in a position to offer scholarships to girls aged 16-18 to study and train full time at Eastleigh Football Club.
The Women’s Football Academy Scholarship will offer the following:
Full-time education with a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport, in partnership with VLUK
Daily coaching from UEFA qualified coaches
Regular, high-quality analysis of performances
One-to-one sessions with individual player support
Direct pathway to Eastleigh Ladies
There will be an Open Evening on Monday, 1st November, where our Head of Youth Development, Jason Bristow, will provide further information and details of trial dates.

We are excited to offer professional facilities and UEFA qualified coaching to the next generation of women’s footballers
Head of Youth Development, Jason Bristow, commented on the new addition to the Scholarship Programme:
“We are really excited to announce our plans to bring in a new girls scholarship alongside our existing boys scholarship programme at the football club.
We have seen how much the Eastleigh Ladies side have progressed in recent seasons and how much the club looks to bring the Men’s and Women’s teams together, so this is a really positive step to develop the Women’s game at Eastleigh even further.
With our Academy also progressing year on year, it feels like the perfect time to bring our already successful scholarship model to the Women’s game, as we want to become the go-to club for 16-18 year old girls to train and play alongside their full-time education.
With our professional facilities and UEFA qualified coaching, as well as exciting pathways at the football club, we hope that the next generation of women’s players will look to us as the future of their development on and off the pitch.”
Club Chairman, Kenny Amor, also shared:
“This is a fantastic opportunity to grow the Women’s game even further at the club. We are so proud of how much our Eastleigh Ladies side have progressed already, which has been shown with their promotion to step five of the pyramid last year.
We are also really proud of how our Academy has continued to develop over the years, which is why we feel we’re at a point to combine both sides to help develop the future of Women’s football at Eastleigh Football Club.”
We really hope that this scholarship can be a success for the long term, as we want to become one of the leading clubs in the area to help both young boys and girls footballers to develop into the Men’s and Women’s game.”
