Nice to do something different, sure will look good on the pitch. Personally I think white socks would balance it out a bit but yeah smart. Is there an away version on the cards or is the yellow promoted this year to change kit?

My mistake , I thought the yellow of last year was the third, that will be fine to keep using this season as the away. No real need for a change there.

A homage to our history? Marketing tripe. Won't buy anything with the fake spitfire on. If the owners cared that much about the club's history they wouldn't have got rid of the old 'historical' town badge.

Only followed eastleigh for about 4/5 years so I don't feel the same connection to the old badge but I have to say I think the new badge is really nice and probably great for marketing.

Last year they got the badge wrong, its not a spitfire. Now they add insult, wonderful idea to give thanks to Derik Brooks and Stewart Donald for their part in the history of EFC, but why have it inside the shirt? You have paid to have their names on the shirt, why hide it where no one can see it? Absolutely bonkers idea, and no imagination. Why could they not have put it on the arm? 75 and their surnames underneath? When you want history you display it, not hide it away. I just think it is insulting to have their names hidden. If they'd have ASKED the fans this would have been pointed out, but like the badge, they never consulted the ones that really matter, the fans who buy the shirt.

But overall it is clumsy in design with too much going on. The shorts are too short too. More like a kit from the eighties. I'll not buy it because of the aeroplane badge.

Looks as though it’s only the shirt that’s new, shorts are from last year by the looks of it, maybe shrunk after so many washes!! Joking aside it’s a shame that some are still upset re the badge, understandably so, what we do have is a club that’s going forward and really has become a focal point to the town and many peoples lives, i for one am looking forward to getting to a few games! Who knows next years kit may tick more boxes for a few more fans.

Personally speaking I think there are a lot of good things happening at the club and I think the budget has been managed sensibly.
However I think it was a quite pity that when the announcement was made it was heralded as amongst the greatest landmarks in the club's history which they claimed has been well researched and a film made regarding this.
For me I think there are people who have been involved with this project who know that Derik Brooks formed the club in 1946 and that Stewart Donald came to the club in the 2011/12 season, but know little about the intervening period. I would say that changing from a committee run club to a limited company in 2006 was a more significant landmark
I also think that the club is far more than just the badge and there are those who know more about what the Spitfire looks like than I do who do not think it is representative of a Spitfire.
You cannot alter the fact that this badge is going to be on the club's merchandise for the foreseeable future, but I can fully understand and respect people's reluctance to associate with it
