what is the trialist called?

Have seen this question asked a few times and I must admit I don't get why people think it right/sensible to publically name a trialist that is featuring for us? Eastleigh have done the legwork in identifying the player and watching him and may have had conversations with them about joining us and contracts etc. why would we want to make that public and let another team nip and on the basis of our work done? am hoping we may well sign some of these players that have been featuring with us pre season, but very happy to wait until contracts etc have been signed and eastleigh fc see fit to name the player.

I see the Portsmouth News have an article directly about the trialist who scored for Eastleigh against Totton on Saturday. He had been trialling at Pompey for the previous three weeks, so their article is all about him and the fact he scored this weekend.

I think the earlier point in this thread about fans letting the cat out of the bag is very much lost when, at this level, these trialist will all have agents spreading their availability about to each and every club and to as many local news sources as they see as advantageous for their client.

Feel stupid I never thought of it this way, I just saw it as well everyone will know they're available. Shame it's leaked but if this happens it's definitely a coup i would imagine he's one of the exciting transfers strevs mentioned.
Seen him on his few appearances for saints and was always a talent.
