I see that as a big loss to the team and a guy who'll be difficult to replace. Having said that, he deserves another crack at the EFL. Best of luck to him.

Was he not on the retained list and under contracts? Does that suggest we got a fee for him?

What a bonus if we did get a fee for a player that produced VERY little for the team . Corners and free kicks that came to virtually nothing but was still allowed to take them , bye bye won’t be missed !

Good luck to Jack and I wish him all the best. For me I thought he was a decent player who went about his work in a very professional way. I sometimes felt he could be more creative higher up up the pitch but he done a lot of what they call ugly work which sometimes goes unnoticed.

Disappointing to lose a player who was on our list for next season posted just a few days ago. Surely if there was question marks, leave him off the retained list.

After the last home match of the season he and members of his family stayed behind for a reasonable amount of time after the game and opted to stay overnight in a local hotel. I thought at the time that he had quite a good affinity to the club.
However as he is a player who has played over 250 football league games and has spent most of his career in the football league, then the chance of returning to the football league was too tempting to resist. I think that factors for him could also have been that he knows the manager well, it is closer to home for him and he knows several of the Crawley players including Andy Hessenthaler's son.
