Another poor performance, should have been at least 3 goals up. What’s happened? 2 points thrown away!

We couldn't find the quality we are capable of tonight. My first instinct was to recall the levelling effect of Boxing Day games in years long gone. If the bottom team was ever going to win against the top, it often seemed to be more likely on Boxing Day - which might, traditionally, have been associated with overindulgence and slack recovery rates. But we are all professional athletes now - (the players I mean he said looking in the mirror) - so I thought again.
Conclusions (excuses):- 1. Can't blame the officials who were as good as it gets in our league. 2. Could be a bit to do with weather and pitch conditions, though we should be able to adapt to that. 3. We don't get many points on the board when Danny Hollands isn't playing. We do have other very good experienced players but DH reads the game, anticipating and snuffing out threats and finding gaps to play into. 4. We had quite a few team changes and players were at various stages of reaching their match fitness peak. 5. Their Saints loanee goalie played a blinder.
Perhaps it's best to take an optimistic viewpoint. With a bit more time back on the training ground normal service can be resumed.

I think it is always disappointing to fail to win a home match against a team below you in the table when you have more of the game than your opponents.
However taking a more philosophical approach I do not really expect much more than a mid-table position at the start of the season and with that in mind I always thought that there would be games that would be won against the odds and that games that were expected to be won that did not yield victory. I would not have at the start of the campaign expected us to win convincingly at Barnet and Yeovil and whereas the two 0-0 draws at home were two points lost rather than one points gained our opponents in these matches although having just returned to this level are clubs with proud histories who finished first and second in the first ever season of Conference football.

A point to build on, the Halifax game felt rushed just so we could get back to playing so didn't take much notice of it.
Enjoyed the commentary partnership of Wilding and Yemi whilst at Altrincham

I see that TicketCo has sent me an e-mail about refunding the money for the ticket I bought for this game - minus an admin fee, and VAT I'm sure it's in the T&C....

Was there a problem with the Eastleigh v Weymouth stream HL or are you referring to the Weymouth home game, which having seen the game of wyscout was getting darker as the game went on. Also no radio coverage for this game?
