2 points dropped sadly. Should have won it in the 2nd half. Any ideas why the Ben house goal was disallowed?

Not a patch on Tuesday nights game, didn’t look very effective from where I was sat. Why don’t we play football instead of going back “to kick it up the pitch” So much better when we bring the ball forward.

Statistics showed last season we perform 'worse' v bottom tier sides who defend, we excel v top tier sides who play open football and we can find gaps against. Altrincham will defend for their lives and hope to gain a point where they can having lost their main striker 48hrs before the start of the season. I was at their game v Weymouth, they played 4-5-1...

Completely agree with playing worse against lower placed clubs Callum, put Notts County in front of us I’m sure it would have been a totally different game. We’ve set off well this year and I really hope we get back into our stride.

When we were able to put a few passes together we did look like the full time team. There were too many occasions though when hopeful balls were lamped up in the direction of Tyrone Barnett's head with no one there to receive a lay off. There were some excellent individual performances including Joe Partington and Cav Miley. Too often though, when we do all the work and get into good attacking zones, we don't have enough physical presence in some areas to turn that pressure into real chances. The anonymous commentary team did a good job again and the co-commentator's observations and occasional analysis are well done - and in good spoken English which you don't even get on national BBC TV these days. (The BBC sports presenters with their poor English seem to be trying to get down wiv their targe' audience).
