Blame the weather. Really? Perhaps in the last twenty minutes the pitch became unplayable but make no mistake this was a turgid, lifeless performance from start to finish against very mediocre opposition. This game definitely won't live long in the memory.

Think that’s a bit harsh. Could easily have snuck it late on.
It probably wouldn’t have changed things but how did the ref & Lino miss Scott Rendells hitting the post via a large deflection? Was an obvious corner. Kind of killed the last few minutes.

Great effort getting the game on.

I did not think it was a bad game and if anything we were the more likely team to win and I think we were disappointed not to do so. Towards the end the ball was sticking in puddles in certain areas of the pitch.
It was Chorley's fourth away draw in a row and none of the other three teams they have shared the spoils with on their travels have fewer points than us. For Eastleigh it is 16 points and only 1 loss from 9 games which is not bad considering the budget is I imagine smaller than in any previous season in which we have played National League football.
Good effort in getting the game played and for raising a sizeable amount of money on non-league day.

However, I thought it was a bad game due to the lack of clear cut chances and action in both penalty boxes.

I personally do not think that a game is not necessarily a poor one if it is devoid of goalmouth action or clear cut chances, although I can certainly recall the Chorley goalkeeper making one excellent save in the first half and there at least being a few half chances.
