3-0 up in the middle of the second half.
Ben Williamson has scored 2 and Andrew Boyce the other 1.

Not a bad crowd - 600-700 at a guess.
Oxford (as promised on their website beforehand) played a very young team but they gave us a good game and probably deserved a goal. Max made two great saves to prevent that.
First two goals were clever moves on the right, third was bundled in from a corner.
Players who impressed me: Rendell (some nice link-ups with Williamson), Partington, and of course Stryjek. Smart coming on as sub has a couple of great runs and was unlucky not to score - could be a real crowd-pleaser. Defence as a unit looked a bit rusty to me, especially with people running at them. We looked decent coming forward and from set-pieces.

Thought Payne and McKnight played well and did not get sucked too deep when not in possession. They also seemed to be the two on dead ball duty (something that was almost exclusively Yates). McKnight's tenacity made the second goal. Was impressed with Atkinson when he came on. Good on the ball and winning stuff in the air. Early days against a mainly very young side but signs we might play a bit more on the ground and that new players are promising. One triallist Tyrone Barnett - a forward (Played with Tubbs at Crawley - but then every player over 30 has probably played with Tubbs). Came on into second half. Looked like he could hold a ball up but a bit languid for me and is 33. Interesting to see if he plays Friday.
