Salford's attendance for the game was in fact only just above their average for the season and I think that if a playoff game had been played at Eastleigh the average would have been comfortably exceeded. I do wonder whether some people were watching either this game or the Huddersfield v Man United on TV.
Certainly in recent seasons the playing budget has been high with Stewart admitting before he left for Sunderland that with the amount he had spent that promotion should have been achieved and away travel subsidised and it will certainly be a challenge to maintain a competitive and sustainable budget.

Yes I think that would have helped. robc am I right in thinking there was a toss for choice of ends and a toss for 1st kick? Seems we lost both. 363 Spitfires today Correct, though Law is vague on this and you have printed Law 10 out in a different thread. Though it is the referee who chooses the end via a coin-toss, unless there are other determining factors that override that.
