Got to be a big crowd for this one. I reckon 2100 and a 2-1 win

I'm going to go 2300 and 1-0 win. We need a clean sheet, maybe today.

Massive game for both teams.
Gateshead have done remarkably well to get near the playoffs with limited recruitment, and an uncertain future, for most of the season - good luck to them. But we need it more!
I think a 1-1 or a 2-1 with a crowd of nearly 2000 (Saints are at home).

Hardly any away fans (apart from exiles)and Saints at home - unless we have given tickets away in a promotion offer, I'd be surprised at over 1850. Result??? Depends on which Eastleigh team turns up !!

Depends on which Eastleigh team turns up !! We were good at Leyton Orient apart from first 20mins of second half. Heads did seem to go down when they equalised. We need to be the twelfth man today.

Massive game. Poor crowd. Ebbsfleet win. Eastleigh lose. Season over. Hope I'm wrong.

I got one bit right. Well done. Horrible game but three points and ebbsfleet lost. All to play for now.

How did we win that game? We seemed to spend about 70% of it defending, couldn't get attack moving, few chances ourselves, BUT despite their possession and comfort on the ball, did Gateshead have any serious attempts on our goal? Was the return of Reda really the difference? Not a great game at all, but as far as I'm concerned if we continue playing like that and sneaking 1-0 wins in the next 6 games, I'll be very, very happy. Won't we all?

Poor game but that win and the other results mean that we remain in that final play-off place and are 4 points clear of 8th place Ebbsfleet (who have a vastly better goal difference). Our remaining 3 games see us play the teams in 17th, 18th and 20th places in the league but all 3 are safe from relegation - the bottom 4 clubs are all relegated already.

Reda back and we are much more solid at the back. No coincidence. Yet another set piece won the game, and it was always our best chance. I didn't think it was a bad game at all. Gateshead passed the ball around quite nicely, without creating much, and rarely look like scoring. We need to carry on defending like that, if we do, we will make the play offs and we might even surprise a few people in them. A huge, potentially season defining win.

Not your average game at the Silverlake today - a real midfield battle, and we worked really hard for a win and a clean sheet. Not great to watch but appreciated the effort the team put in.
Agree that Gateshead had a lot of the ball (especially second half) but their forwards hardly turned up and they resorted to the odd long shot. Their number 3, Barrow, was their most dangerous player with a great left foot and that free-kick that hit the post.
Talking of number 3s with a great left foot.... I thought Greener had a superb game and for me was easily MOM. Reda may have come back and made a difference in defence and scored the winning goal (well-placed header) but not my choice...
Very good day for us with Harrogate, Ebbsfleet and Sutton losing - a playoff place is ours to lose now. If we get there (yes, there's a long way to go still, but two wins out of three will do it), it looks likely to be either Wrexham or Fylde away....

A fairly moot point, but lower crowd than I expected, guess the "Saints effect" taking place a little.
Nervy game but fairly solid throughout and great to see Reda back. That could be very timely indeed. A brilliant day with other results going our way. We have guaranteed ourselves we will be in with a chance going into the last game at Boreham Wood.
Promises to be an exciting few weeks!

Agreed. A deserved 3 points, but not a classic. We did well to stand up to the Gateshead pressure on late in the game
