was touched upon in another thread with one poster saying we could get to 75+ points.
Last season Fylde came 7th with 73 points. We'd need 8-3-5 to get to 73 points. Definitely doable but will be tough.

Depends on our home form. We only play one club above us in the league at home, Gateshead, between now and the end of the season. We would need to win at home on a regular basis to have a serious chance, given our away games at the likes of Orient, Fylde, Salford etc.

Yup agreed. So far we have gained 23 points at home and 23 points away. Probably ought to be aiming for 6 wins from the 8 home games with the remaining points coming away from home.
Our home form has certainly improved throughout the season, unbeaten at the silverlake for over 3 months and we have won out last 3.

I predicted 9th at the start of the season, I think that's probably about right.

Didn't see 3 points coming today at Bromley - 8th place, a point off the play-offs. OK, the 2 teams above have a game in hand, but 50 points in January ....that would have been dreamland only a few weeks back.

Brilliant 3 points & great defending particularly Alex Wynter, between decent attacks. Mark Yeates is rapidly becoming my top Spitfire with his workrate & crosses into the box . Great late goal from Boycey . Can't make many away matches but Radio Solent is a great 2nd best 😀

Did the stats for the last 10 years earlier today. I think the team finishing 7th ranged from 66pts to 77pts.
73 would give us a fair chance IMO, 75 would be very likely to make it. Of course our GD is poor so if it comes down to GD then we would miss out.
we have had 3 wins since the initial post, it looks very doable at the moment, though I'm sure that will change week by week as the season comes to a climax1

Doable, but it all depends on the fitness of the squad. Most stay fit and we can do it. The niggles we can probably get by with, but proper injuries could harm our chances.

You are of course right, but every other team in the top 10 could undoubtedly say exactly the same.

A clutch of home games coming up, let’s hope things can continue, away form is fantastic, hoping the last furlon of the season will bring some extra fans to home games, it’s exciting, nobody to really fear , lots of points to be had.

Ideally if we don't win it we need to be 2nd or 3rd to get home advantage and play only one game before Wembley. Home games will bring in fans but personally i love away days although a trip to Gateshead or Fylde on a Wednesday/Thursday night might test a few fans.
