Maybe she's gone to help sort out SAFC? Maybe. SAFC announced a few days ago that Neil Fox has joined the board at Sunderland.

Yes, Tony. Saw that he'd spent a fair amount of time at the club over the summer so that seems to make sense. We might hear something about JS in due course.

Maybe someone who can look after the finances is already with the club or they've brought someone in to look after such matters, but not at Board level.

Must admit I had a little smile this morning when scanning the football websites to see that SD has done an on-line interview (available later today) in which, according to several SAFC websites, he discusses the financial situation at SAFC in general and in particular the lack of money available to bring in new players due to high level of ongoing payments that have to be made on contracts to players signed by previous manager(s).
