Our Home record against Wrexham is Played 4 Drawn 4 including last season's dramatic match when Wrexham scored from a penalty in the 20th minute. Andrew Boyce was sent off after 66 minutes and captain Ryan Cresswell equalised in the fourth minute of added time.

As you say, four draws out of four at home against Wrexham.
In each of them we've played them in the second half of the season - most of the time they seem to start a season well (often with promising new signings) with lots of optimism, then they seem to fade after the New Year, with lots of disappointment.
We normally see them at the 'disappointing' stage, but they've always seem a decent side to me (they were very good here last season, but we then got an equaliser near the end with 10 men) so it will be interesting to see them in the 'optimistic' early stage - and yes, they're top of the league, unbeaten in four.
I thought Bromley was a definite improvement over Solihull but Wrexham are a different proposition. A draw would be a good result for us. If we can continue to keep it tight at the back than this is achievable.

Not impressed with Stack for either of those goals.

We know he's not the perfect all round keeper, and at 36, or whatever, he's unlikely to improve, but he's all we have bar RF. On our first half performance, I reckon the best we can hope for is to score the first goal against Wrexham of the season. Oh, and not concede any more.

Can't believe the stupidity of Boyce - although why did it take going down to 10 to get us to pass (rather than hoof) forward?

Boyce has a habit of getting sent off against Wrexham.

Deserved to lose on a few counts: 1. Should have started with 3 at the back as we didn’t we should have made that change well before ht. 2. Why was Zeb taken off at ht and not Williamson, we effectively took off our paciest striking option first. 3. Why is Hollands starting before Gobern, he was anonymous and Gobern made an immediate impact when he came on. 4. Williamson comes off for Beano. 5. Boyce’s brain dead 2 yellows in 10 minutes. Saying all that Wrexham will finish top 5 easily but we could have got something from this game if we’d used some tactical nous and common sense.

Pub-standard defending for all three goals. First goal - Johnson allowed their player to outmuscle him, and get in front of him to head in a free-kick Second goal - Stack in no-man's land as a free-kick was headed over him into the net by one of our defenders Third goal - their player ran down the left, on-on-one with Johnson, who allowed him to shoot across Stack into the far corner Boyce - two silly yellows. Johnson also allowed their no 9 to get in front of him to get another header in, which Stack saved. Johnson was absolutely appalling today. He was more dangerous when he was attacking, if his header had gone instead of hitting the bar, we might have staged an unlikely comeback. Wrexham looked a good side, not sure if they'll get promotion, though. Looked a bit rattled by us in the last half hour. After the terrible start we tried hard, they won the midfield but we kept going, even with 10 men, When we got a goal back we wondered if were going to get a comeback draw with a man down for the second season running, but the third goal killed us off.
Strange the back four formation didn't work in the first half, but worked well the second time around when we were forced to use it again after Boyce's dismissal. Anyone any ideas why? Did Gobern make a difference? Were we just more positive, with nothing to lose?

A quick look around the League results suggests that a lot of clubs are blowing at least as hot and cold as we are. Shots 0 - Harrogate 2; Barnet 0 - Ebbsfleet 3, that one in front of 1217, and yes, there really was another Indian wedding in the ground.
My main worry is that we don't have a bench worthy to (or fit enough to) come on. Our squad is desperately small (as we heard at the fans forum) and we are struggling to find 5 healthy subs.

Well beaten today. Game over within a quarter of an hour.
Be interesting to see where Wrexham are at the back end of the season, might give this result a bit more perspective=

Agreed, I have not seen any away games so far this season but at home Reda has looked decidedly dodgy. For a player who is only likely to be available for half your games at best, you expect him to bolster the defence when he is available, but he has looked indecisive, hesitant and lacking in confidence. He has always been a clumsy player giving away free kicks, but in his present form he is way off our best defender let alone the best in the league.
Hopefully a run of games will get back to the form we know he is capable of.

I've seen all 5 games so far this season & until yesterday, Reda was hot candidate for POTM. Don't have figures to hand re the games he played in the last 2 seasons, but it seems to most of us that 5 in a row, for him, is pretty good. Most games he has played since he signed, I reckon he's usually one of the best players on the pitch. For whatever reason, that was not the case yesterday, however, every player has off days, & he should not be pilloried for that. Reda is a different, better, player this season. Let's just hope he is able to play as many games as possible for us.

I posted after the Bromley game and said that IMO Reda Johnson wasn't back to his best form this season but he was easily good enough for us.
He wasn't on Saturday. Like you, I hope it was an off day and he'll play many games this season and get back to his usual standard.
However, I called it as I saw it and he was IMO a liability on Saturday. We also rely on him a lot when he plays so that made it worse. Playing so many games in a row probably didn't help him. Frustrating that we still actually caused Wrexham trouble and without the errors would probably have got something out of that game.

Can any of those pikies in the train station car park play football? Mind you, looking at the rubbish they've left, I think they're in dire need of a sweeper.
