Matthew Lewton was here for a few months effectively in a consultancy role. He was not working directly for Eastleigh Football club. Whilst he did have an input in the transfers at that time to put everything at his door is not right at all.
Like most football clubs, the manager (at the time) and chairman have been the main 2 people involved in our signings and exits. There are also a number of others who have been heavily involved in signings.
Lets not let the "myth/legend of Matthew Lewton" obscure reality.

People love a scapegoat - doesn't have to bear much resemblance to reality.

Yeah, just a FEW months....he did an awful lot of damage. The squad actually split into two groups, those that he favoured and those he didn't, this led to players not trusting each other in each group, team spirit non existence. In the end his lies caught up with him once SD looked into things more closely.

We all know stewart donald made plenty of mistakes in his last couple of years with us, Not deliberately I'm sure. Anyhow the past is the past, time to move on.
We are in a new era now
