Are you sure about that ? That means then if someone owns a football club, no one else in that family can own another football club,

Absolutely, its called conflict of interest. Put it another way, the owners of Manchester City (all part of the same family) could otherwise in theory own 10 other clubs in the Premier League if they were allowed to.

What about if he still owned the ground as welk? Surely that would be a conflict too? Can’t imagine the efl would look very highly on that

I don't see how he can be owner of Sunderland AFC and be landlord of EFC. That's a conflict of interest.

It’s time for some real clarity about the future of our club and the situation regarding the ownership of the ground. It is my understanding that the club cannot be owned by another family member, however I’m not sure about the situation regarding owners of a football club also being employee/s working for a company who’s owner owns another club and therefore may be in a position of influence? Very murky waters indeed.

If the new owners are in place, I would hope they were more tied up with the day to day operations of the club than reporting their every move to a bunch of numpties on a website who think they have some divine right to the new owners every move.

I re-read your username and at first I thought it was legend, but you must of meant “BELL END”

I make a tongue in cheek comment and get called immature by some twat who then calls me a "BELL END" - Obviously far to mature for me!!! Sums up whats wrong with the club these days!

I think that whether you agree with us spitfire he knows the club well. I think he edited the programme for a few years and was a committee member as well as a regular supporter while in the UK.

So we now know what's happening but still we have the very negative comments.it appears the obvious again has to be explained.SD has gone. The 4 now in charge know how the club works and now we have to work to a budget. Bit like the old days then, and RH has gone to Sunderland thought this would have bought howels of delight. Sadly I am not one of them RH in my mind was truly committed to this club and SD. Now we know AH has the knowledge to obtain, recruit and improve the team we have. The team does need new blood but there are also good players in the squad so I would believe they will perform this year. Even the dead wood may step up but with a budget they cannot be paid off. I have always said I will have an opinion but I will not be just so negative which leads me to conclude that most comments on hear can't be from true but maybe new fans who have not had the pleasure of some games from years past. There is a place for constructive opinion but in my mind negative comments reflect that person. Luckily I will always smile when it comes to the that I support and which I was born in.It does drive me to despair and ruin my weekend when I see the Eastleigh play poorly, but at the end of the day that is being a true fan.
