I wish him every success at Sunderland, it won't be easy by any stretch but for him I really do hope it works out.

Guess what, I don’t give a **** about Sunderland or even Stewart Donald, I just care about Eastleigh. What I want to know is what are our “new” board going to do with regards to taking the club forward. When will our manager start planning for next season, when will we get rid of the position of director of football? Now that we have confirmation of the Sunderland takeover being complete, can we have some positive news in fact any news about the mighty spitfires.?

Tend to agree with you hurricane; I too couldn't really give a stuff about Sunderland or SD, at least my interest stretches as far as it effects EFC. Maybe I am behind the news, but as far as I am aware, the new owners of EFC have not yet been ratified by the National league and that being the case, SD can't have been ratified to take over Sunderland, so presumably he is still the owner of Eastleigh. Frustrating though it is I think we are going to have to continue being patient. That said once ratified I would hope and expect the new owners will make a thorough statement as to immediate and future plans. Once this drags on into next month, it will eventually damage the club, so lets take our time - but not too much time.

I know SD is the past but today I have become very disappointed whilst scrolling through twitter I happened to read a SD tweet about buying 31,500 Red seats to replace there "pink" ones B U T we had/have to deal with our green ones 😣😂

If I was a Sunderland fan I wouldn't give two hoots what colour the seats were, I'd be more concerned with what the team does on the pitch than worrying about something like what my bum is sat on. They will have 46 cup finals next season, they are there to be shot at by the other 23 clubs, and if they start badly, the fans won't give a toss about the seats, they'll be empty.

I hope SD hasn't underestimated how high the bar is set at Sunderland. 30 years ago they dropped briefly into the 3rd tier but returned the next season. The fans will not accept anything less than an immediate return to the Championship this time too.
A few poor results and there only be one person to blame, and it won't be the manager.

SD will get the blame if Sunderland don't start the season well, but they will also blame the manager. If they are winless after 4-5 games, the manager will be gone.

I think SD might have learnt that sacking a manager after 4 games is not a good plan, unfortunately the fall out from his education is going to be with us for a while yet.
