Well, let’s not worry about something over a year away shall we?

If they support their team they will. It still represents good value for money

I'm not shelling out over £200 unless we reach league one.

From SD twitter
"Its a condition of the sale that season ticket prices are frozen for 3 years! And the club contribute to away travel. Neither brought the team success although we did have 1 promotion and 2 play offs in 6 years so wasn't a disaster"

Really cannot see how that can be made a 'binding' condition of the sale, appreciate SD is saying this for the right reasons and it would be great for it to continue, but most clubs do not operate this way so surely the new owner would be able to make business decisions based on how they see the business, they cannot be guided by the previous owner as to where they obtain income for the business. I'm sure the EFL rules will say he can have no influence on a second club, hence the reason he is selling us in the first place, so how can he be the one making the decisions for 3 years down the line?
It may also put the new owners in a difficult position because they may have to raise ticket prices and if they do you can bet that there will be people bringing out the quote from SD, who has set our expectation level even before he knows what is going to happen.
Doesn't mean that prices will go up, the new owners might like the business model, but these are things we will not know until we hear from the new owner and that may be a way off yet.

If that is in the contract and both parties sign it, it would be legally binding.

You can put what you like in a contract but what's the sanction if the new owner(s) put up the prices? SD can't have the club back if he's involved at Sunderland.

The majority of National League clubs charge over £200 for their cheapest season ticket, Maidstone and Dover charge £315.

I think there are some very selfish posts on here. We have been very very lucky to experience such low prices underwritten by Mr Donald. If we have to pay a higher amount so be it if it is necessary to continue to make the Club sustainable. EFC is not a charity but a business. As a customer we have a choice-pay or go elsewhere. To expect Mr Donald to answer every question so soon is ridiculous--but what I do know is he will do his very best to put in place measures that will help supporters. There is no point in speculating-- will all become clearer in time

Ah, but you're forgetting one thing. Quite a few of us that I knock about with use the football as an excuse for a social on Saturdays & don't watch all of the game, so it wouldn't be worth the money.

The prices aren’t the issue, it’s the absolute garbage on the pitch that’s the issue. Just because sonething is cheap, it doesn’t make it a bargain or value for money.
