I'll be in town watching it, purely because of drink driving.

I am old enough to realise how surreal is the reality that Eastleigh are playing Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. I can recall Eastleigh being just a cut above being a park side and Tranmere playing in what's now the Championship. More prosaically, the last away fixture v Tranmere which I attended saw Eastleigh victorious under the caretaker management of Chris Todd. www.espn.co.uk/football/lineups?gameId=428856Their players came off the pitch telling us we should give Toddy the job.

And I have to say that Eastleigh side would murder what we have today. Thanks to the disastrous turnover of so called managers that followed that season and most of the next. I think the performance on Saturday at Prenton Park will be the litmus test for our expectations for the rest of this season - ie staying up or, as postulated on another thread, surrendering our National League status to smarter and better opposition.

The ref must have been given a new set of cards looking at all those bookings!
