If I remember correctly 2004/05 was the season that promotion to the Conference South was achieved and 2008/09 was when the playoffs were reached in which his return was relatively low. I also think that he scored a hat-trick in one F A Cup tie which won him the player of the round award.

I see our wikipedia page has him on 146 goals (including all the minor cup goals) and he is our top scorer of all time.
IIRC the game "unknown quantity" is referring to is a 5-0 win at home to Clevedon which ironically Forbes wasn't even man of the match for! The scorer of the other 2 games won that award, a certain Damian Scannell.
