Pitch looked absolutely fine yesterday so I'd have been gobsmacked if it was called off.

Congratulations and thanks to Dan, Mark and whoever else is involved in preparing the pitch now, also to those who braved this morning's weather to help remove the covers and help out.
Little doubt that last season and most prior to that, the game would have been in serious doubt or called off. It just shows that serious investment and proper care of the pitch can help in avoiding embarrassment and cost to the club on days like today.
Let's repay all involved with a clean sheet win. Please.

The players are performing a lot better now and is no coincidence that this is due to Zeb who has improved massively. Miley and Matthews are both class players and Yeates is still creating chances with his attacking play. It seems that we may be losing Callum Howe and, if so, wish him all the best for the future.

Well we won and so I am delighted. We looked very dangerous going forward, the game could easily have ended 8-4; and for all those for whom entertainment is key, you will certainly have enjoyed this. But...defensively still a total shambles. Guiseley were very poor and my tip to finish bottom this season. We are now 5 unbeaten and I don't see us in any danger of going down, but until we start defending as a team, we will certainly not be challenging the top 7. To be honest I thought not one of our defenders looked comfortable. How about we bring in a defensive coach. Priority number 1 in my book.

What is so annoying is that if the club knew Callum is going this week why he doesn’t get a vote of thanks over the pa for what he has done in his loan spell with Eastleigh! Fantastic Callum and thanks.

I enjoyed the game but my mate 'Jimmy one shin' is fuming!
After the game being called off last week 6 miles above sea level, he thought today wouldn't stand a chance. He booked an extra 3 nights with a Thai bird and put his flight back. He's now missed the game of the season and been thrown out his hostel for lewd conduct. Someone will feel his wrath at the next game so this is just a heads up.
Cheers

Certainly looked good going forwards today. We really do seem to be scoring quite a few goals (letting in a fair few too!)
Hopefully we will go on a bit of a run now. The top half of the table doesn't feel too far away

Great game, thoroughly enjoyable for the neutral and any new ‘ladies’ who turned up. People now have optimism and happiness which only entertaining football can provide.

Well said willk, & who could disagree with that? We are looking a far better team than a month ago & that was the first home win since beating Gateshead 3-2 on 21st October. No disrespect intended, but it was only Guisley, however with the form of 6 weeks ago, we could easily have lost the game like v Solihull. Some good performances out there from Miley (let's hope an EFL club doesn't come knocking for him) Matthews, Yeates & especially, IMHO, Zebroski. What's happened to invigorate him back to being the excellent player he has been in the past?
Haven't seen any recent news about Greener's injury & I feel his loss has been one reason for the run of poor form through Oct-Dec. As others say, there are a number of question marks over our defence & it really needs shoring up with players returning from injury or new (loan?) signings.
Great to have an entertaining 4 goal win, just a shame about conceding the two. Pity Cav Miley's lob from the centre circle didn't go in, he really is coming on leaps & bounds as a player.
Finally, a word or 37 about the pitch. Games at Poole Town & H&W were postponed today. This game would have been also, probably, if we still had the VNL South pitch of last season. So investing in the pitch is paying off & Dan & Mark plus all the others who help out from time to time & on matchday are to be thanked for their efforts in making this the best pitch we've ever seen at the Silverlake.

Missed nearly all the goals because I was in the bar! This is a stuarion I find myself in due to recent performances and the bar being the better option , however let’s hope the lure of a good game is now instilled back into me and I might not miss future goals in our hopefully new look EFC team , the corner is turned let’s hope ? Burp !
