Josh Payne
Scott Wilson
Jack Midson
Jai Reason
Andy Drury
Ross Lafayette
Plus a couple of others who've escaped my memory.
Why have we lost these influential players who are still performing at our level?

Payne wasn't part of plans for some reason. Lafayette wasn't used tonnes as he didn't really perform. Wilson didnt turn up to his contract negotiation meeting. Jack Midson is a few divisions below, don't think he'd score for us if he was here now. Must have scored 5 goals max in his last 80 NL apps. Reason and Drury... Let's not go there!!

I personally thought Connor Essam (who scored for Dover against us) was a good player and shouldn't have left us. Luke Coulson also at Ebsfleet with AD left us but he has underachieved since. I like Jack Midson(now Asst Manager) at Leatherhead but they are not at our level(yet !!)

I had a very interesting phone conversation yesterday with someone in Bristol who is a Newport County supporter and season ticket holder. Apparently David Pipe is doing a superb job for them at right back this season. He did also say what a good signing we had in Chris Zebroski.

I certainly think Essam, Pipe and Bird got didn't really get a fair chance with us.

I think too many players are played out of position and not to there strengths. Going back a bit when Yemi was smashing them in for Woking as they played him up front. We never saw Paynes full potential as he didn't fit into the Eastleigh way!

Which goes to show that our last two managers have made some baffling decisions especially MA getting rid of our best stock. It gives me the right 'ump.

Well its going to take a season or so for all those long contracts to expire and the under achievers are shown the door, so we had better get used to not going anywhere fora while. and as long as we are mid table for a couple of seasons that will do for me, now whose an under achiever ?

Would personally love to see Jai back at Eastleigh. When he came to play agents us he looked fitter and sharper. Always gave100% and I think he is better than Danny Hollands / Sam Togwell. Thoughts ?

Incredibly lazy player IMO, had the ability. It would be another backward move for him to come back.

No way babes, we don`t look back! What appeared to be a good player a few seasons ago has now gone over, like yous marigolds do in October, we all have our use by dates. Thats why Andy Forbes isn`t playing for us anymore, smashing in cracking goals like he did that Tuesday night at Weston Super Mare, all those years ago. Players ,Coaches, Managers, Chairmen all come and go, but we....the faithfull, the loyal, the ridiculous, the passionate, the supporters, remain, and it will always be so.

Jai is still a good player for Maidstone and scored a penalty today in an entertaining draw.

In the Evostik Premier Stuart Fleetwood, Adam Watkins and Chris Flood all scored. In fact Fleetwood scored four goals for Redditch.
