Quite a last few minutes that.
Can’t wait to see Williamson goal again!

Wow, what a game to analyse. Very entertaining and maybe I’m going soft but dare I say something to work with? Could have been 5-0 down but also could have won it. Think the pace, spirit and skill level much higher tonight. Manager lives on.

I didn't expect that from you Will. I couldn't be at the game tonight but caught some of the second half. At 0-2 down Ian Wilding said it was the worst we'd played at home this season. I'm guessing you don't agree with that??
From the radio commentary my analysis would be we snatched a lucky point, but did seem to come together under pressure in the dying minutes. Interested to hear from people who were there.

Not sure how many "get out of jail " cards you get but I think they were all used up tonight. Should of been at least 6-0 down but still came back, I enjoyed that. Very impressed with Maidenhead and they had power and pace in the team, but couldn't see the game out. Hopefully RH leaned a few things tonight.

We could have been 5-0 down, they hit the post twice and missed two real sitters! We got a pen back then the atmosphere changed, haven’t seen it like that in a while, it really picked up the players who were clearly down, then Mathews took the ball and attacked them, ending up with a superb shot and goal from our in form striker! The whistle saw a different Eastleigh team enjoying their applause off, RH applauding the fans! No one really going to believe that this changes much though?

Can’t believe we got something out of that game. Delighted we got the point as the way it’s going might need that to keep us up.

Bit like the Barrow game until the latter stages - we started quite well, faded as they took the lead, faded further as they went further ahead, then some imaginative substitutions livened things up for an exciting finale - great goal at the end. Only this time, unlike Saturday, we got the breaks and got the goals.
We could have been dead and buried by the time the subs came on, but we didn't give up. I've seen us give up a couple of times in that position.
I felt that if we'd got one back against Barrow then they would have panicked, I thought Maidenhead were a better team on the day and wouldn't.
All the subs played their part again, but the new lad had the pace we'd been missing all season and gave their left back a torrid time.
Not sure if it could be used as a turning point, but the mood was certainly more positive at the end. RH included.
So we'll try and forget the mystery of the missing full-back for the first goal, and the horrible error by Stack for the second (even I couldn't blame Hoyte for that one).

We had a couple of chances but until 80 odd minutes looked like a fairly routine away win.
Pen looked like an iffy one to me, but once that had gone in we had several chances to equalise and finally it came with a super strike from Ben Williamson.
For me he is our star man this season, contract extension perhaps?!

Very happy to get a point that late on, nice to gain a point rather than drop points for a change

I was asked to make a pre-match prediction. On a whim, I said 2-0 to Eastleigh. Thought I was going to get the score right; but for the other team. Maidenhead will be travelling home tonight as if they had been defeated. They desereverd all three points. They outplayed us until the sending off. Quicker to a man. Part-timers... They were professional. But, having said that, the game turned. Eastleigh for the breaks and wanted something from the game. Ayo penalty, he snatched the ball put of ? Hand. Well taken. Then, as fans were leaving, either to get their car out from Stoneham or because they were pedestrians making the hazzardous trek along the Lane, Ben scored an amazing goal to gain an undeserved point. All that will be forgotten in time. 2-2. Till is retrieved for now.
Kevin Nicholson, ex Torquay United was in the Blue Stand. Scouting? Doing his homework? Or preparing his pitch for the vacant position at Eastleigh?
I can't see tomorrow. But, in a week or two, I will be looking back at the past. I might even say,"I told you so."

As Will says what a game to analyse!
Hantslondoner, you’re spot on the first 80 we’re almost a carbon copy of the Barrow game and I was expecting the same result. I’m not sure but tactically I make it we went from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 when there second went in and when that didn’t work we then switched to 4-3-3.
I just wish we tried to start games how we’ve finished the last two - on the front foot looking to score.
Not a win but it felt like one!

Think the pace, spirit and skill level much higher tonight. Manager lives on. I agree, there are some positives to take from the game and it should give Hill something to work on and improve. The problem is I don’t believe he can. The players are good enough to keep us up, but not good enough to take us forward. Let’s see what the rest of the year brings.

Have to agree with Solent that for 80 mins that was the worst I've seen us play all season and if it had stayed 2-0 I think we would've woken up to hill being sacked. But the guys on the pitch at the end have really pulled together and saved him. Will be the big test on Saturday to see if that was a turning point and not 10 minutes of glory. . Just worried now that the majority of our best players are the loan ones who are due to go back to their clubs after xmas.

Potentially a season changing 10 minutes. Like I said after Barrow, fair play to Williamson, he never stops running, won the penalty and scored the equaliser. We now need to get something at Halifax and IF we do, maybe, just maybe, the season is up and running. Not many people in the ground when the 2nd goal went in. If you missed it, you missed the best moment at The Silverlake for a very long time.
