I despaired at the sight of us lobbing high balls across the box and wondering why their 8 foot tall defenders had no problem heading them clear.
I agree with those who have suggested that a FA Trophy run is our only hope of any glory this term.

Can everybody (particularly a Richard Hill fan ) explain to me why all opposition managers this season spend 90 minutes on their feet kicking every ball and encouraging their players and our scowling slaphead of a manager sits on his arse with his arms folded? I’m genuinely intrigued in the reason for this.

Whenever I see RH leave his box he gets frustrated, and abusive towards the officals, and gets banned. It's probably better he stays in his box, arms folded ;-)
Maybe he's exasperated at his players not doing what he asks?
BTW the ref on Saturday seemed to live up his surname (Barrow), and gave them a lot of decisions. But it had absolutely no effect on the scoreline. They totally deserved the win.

The last 5 home games have all been teams who seem to have wanted it more. Of the 5 teams I’m not sure more than 2-3 players from all of those teams collectively would make it into our team in terms of talent. One thing that is blatantly clear is that they know that if they work hard, get to every ball, and aren’t afraid to put their foot in they are gonna beat us! Watch tomorrow, it’s clear that our players, except Miley, are prepared to really put their foot in and play for the club.
It’ll happen again tomorrow, Maidenhead will come and be committed, win every second ball, and most probably make our evening very hard indeed. Under CT and RM teams didn’t get near us. We put fear into the opposition, we passed the ball around and played great football. Just look at the result away to Swindon in the cup!!
Hilly, get your boys really fired up, get them battling for every ball. It’s back to basics for us and start to dominate games rather than holding on!!

Think you've got it wrong there, martfergie. The way it reads is that Miley is the non battler in the team.

I thought he had a much better game than most of the rest of the team on Saturday and he seems to be improving game on game. There will be setbacks/loss of form for him, but atm he looks to be an excellent prospect for the future. And he's in his early 20s!!

I think we need to get the scouts over to Gurnsey more often!!

He's from Jersey, actually. Recommended to RH by Brian Little.

Careful Nobad it doesn't fit the agenda on here that RH has brought in a young player and he looks a bit good and is getting plenty of game time!!

I’m sure Hill will beat any life and creativity out of him as soon as possible
