Apologies for this plug but in case anyone might be interested, "The More We Win The Better It Will Be" by Paul McNamara is now on offer at the link below. There is a £5 discount off the published price of £13.99. There is a £3.02 p&p charge which brings it to £12. I think that's about the price of 4 match day programmes so pretty good value for a 335 page book. www.troubador.co.uk/book_info.asp?bookid=2945There is more information about the book at that link, but just to summarise for anyone who is not already familiar with it, the book is Paul's account of the events which took place throughout the 2013/14 season. He spent a large part of that season with the club, attending matches, training sessions and speaking regularly to the management team, players, directors and supporters. It provides a unique insight into the day to day workings of an aspirational non league football club. Hopefully it might prove to be a good Christmas present for anyone who enjoys a good sports book and of course for Eastleigh supporters who might be interested in the story of that memorable season. I do have a number of books which I can offer to supply directly and will have them with me at the Chester match on Saturday. Please pm me on this forum if you might be interested.

Can't recommend the book highly enough to any Spitfire fan. It is well written by Paul and is very insightful. Even for those who have only been supporters in our NL days, a lot of the characters and clubs played are the same. The plot moves along briskly but don't expect any surprises at the end. To be a spoiler, it ends with us getting promotion.

Sounds like a good book, are they in the club shop? I believe they might have sold out but it might be worth checking when you go in there. I have the club's agreement to sell directly so just let me know if you want a book from me if they don't have them.(Or you can order from the publishers of course at the above link if that's more convenient.)
