Surprised no one else has started a thread on his Piegate punishment. Fined £375 & banned for 2 months for breaching FA betting rules. Not sure what the ban means or how it affects what he's doing at Totton at the moment. Comments, anyone?

Only just heard about this punishment. What is Wayne doing at Totton?. IMO it's a ridiculous decision but hope it will not stop him watching or commentating on Eastleigh matches. Not sure what is covered by the term 'football related' Heard on twitter that his fine is being paid by Piers Morgan.

Thought I'd heard in the summer that he'd joined Totton, but I don't know in what capacity. Only right that someone connected with the S** should pay his fine, seeing as how that organisation was responsible for setting such a ridiculous wager in the first place. My view is that Wayne had a poor lack of judgement in the first place by playing along with the S**, & already paid a high price by losing his job at Sutton Utd. Let's hope a 2 month ban won't affect him too much.

The Sun Scre*ing over somebody for a fake news story, I don't believe it, totally unheard of.
All the best Wayne, Eastleigh legend.

Once again the so-called guardians of English football make themselves a total laughing stock.

The whole thing is a massive joke, totally unfair. The Sun decided to make the odds for him eating a pie, surely then that means that they are open to the possibility of him doing exactly that. Otherwise it's just a way of them unfairly making money if they are setting odds on something that could not possibly happen, completely available for people to place money on. And the whole "affecting the betting odds by eating a pie" is bullsh*t in my opinion. So if Zebroski sees that he has very good odds of scoring in a game, if he scores then his affecting the bet by the bookies having to pay out. Whats the difference there then? Neither scoring a goal or eating a pie is against the law... Very daft if you ask me, just glad the fine isn't four digits long. Top bloke Wayne, not just in football either. I met him a fair few times when he was an ice cream man, and he would always do all these little extra things he didn't need to just because he is that kind of person. Like take ice cream into old people's homes for them to save them coming out etc. Unfair to unfairly punish someone who does nothing but good for other people.

It took them 5 months to make that decision....don't the FA move fast!!!!! AFC Flyde have 5 or 6 players under investigation for betting, but are allowed to continue to play.......bet they make a decision at the end of the season to prevent uproar if they get long bans. As for Wayne he was a victim, yet the real offender gets off scot free.
