Managed to get to watch the Spitfires do themselves proud yesterday. The team is gaining in confidence and learning how each other play. But how do we as supporters expect them to perform if the 12th man the support is not there. I stood on my 'tod' giving the Trameres fans a little competition. From the start they were giving their team support. Where were we absolutely nowhere. So before fans start having ago remember we are a whole package and we need to be there to support them. Don't be shy let's hear some noise.

And the one in the segregation in the mackoy. Singers end up getting dispersed around the ground & it kills the atmosphere

Eastleigh's vocal support has been snuffed out. It has become a poorly attended arena for old farts to sit there all quiet with intermittent clapping. It is really boring if you're a youngster and they're kept away because some older people moan about them.

I note what is being said but really it's just excuses. We are the fans we have to step up.The youngsters need to learn how the support without ignoring the boundaries. Support has to be loud good humoured with an edge. Learners need to realise you can't go to personnel abuse that's just got trouble written all over it.Then again older possibly wiser should tell the younger ones what's acceptable and what's not.Supporters need to support the ones that don't like it go to the library.😎

It is really boring if you're a youngster and they're kept away because some older people moan about them. Can't help yourself can you. You make broad assumptions that have no evidence whatsoever. On this occasion we all know why the segregation was there.Mr Donald said as such It wasn't about older people moaning about them. It has not been snuffed out. They could simply relocate. I'm sure if behaviour improved then it wouldn't be a problem. It isn't about older people, their right to sit where they like or how they choose to watch a football match and how they conduct themselves. Its also not all about ALL the young people who act responsibly and sing to their hearts content. its about a very small minority of all ages who disrupt what should be an enjoyable event. So contribute something worthwhile because frankly your boring.

Just being at the ground, paying your entrance fee, buying the food is showing support. People go to football for many reasons-and choose to support in their own way. You can't dictate that they should all sing or shout!!!! As an OAP i go to every game home and away. I spend my money at the games, I buy the clothing but nobody has the right to dictate whether I shout or sing!!!! And in the same vein I also don't have the right to dictate to younger supporters how they conduct themselves. they know the rules and they know the boundaries. Its just sometimes and only sometimes they go too far. Its for the stewards to say what is acceptable.

Vocal support should stay in the shed throughout the whole game ! Everyone moves at half time ( understandably ) but I've always thought it's better second half when Eastleigh are attackkng the shed and the fans behind are cheering the team on. And there use to be a drummer , where did he go ?!?!?

I hear that Spurs have got a virtual drummer, through Wembley's PA system!

I am one of the ‘ old Farts ’ who like to turn up and watch a game of football without being interested in taking part in all the chanting and banter but I must agree that, while some of the previous banter with the opposition was OTT and made it uncomfortable for people sitting in the Macoy stand and was far too close to the `away team. a match with NO Songs, Banter, chanting seems out of place.
It seems to me that The `Shed End` is the place for all you noisy lot

Accoustics are very good in the Mackoy stand, far better than the old Shed. Helps the away support make itself heard. Not heard enough noise this season to say whether the new Shed roof helps. Best to try it out there first, I'd have thought.
Seeing the large gap between the two sets of fans in the Mackoy last Saturday, it seems crazy that we wasted half the space in the stand (not that we needed extra space on the day). Tranmere fans have been decent whenever they've been here, but I do appreciate that we may have been short of stewards again.

As an old fart myself I have no issue with our fans singing in the Mckoy at all and i do hope circumstances dictate that they can be there again. I suppose its in there hands really.

It's not about the youngsters, they are fine, the future of the club, the make noise and the players appreciate that. Some people will always pick on younger people, an easy target. Truth is it's a few older fans as stewart said in his post and has been said before.
Not allowing people to congregate a certain part of the ground is not the way forward, its lazy stewarding. Maybe time to have a quiet word with a few people. Not make a blanket ban on everyone which effects largely people that are entirely blameless and does wreck the atonpshere.

Why not congregate and utilise the low stand roof on the far side if want to recreate what Shed End used to give.
