A few things from last night

First time back at the ground since last season and lots has changed.
Firstly the scoreboard, 10/10 there. Basically everyone can see it now, it's much higher and in front of the old club house for those who haven't been to the ground this season. Is there money to be made with the scoreboard with companies paying to sponsor corners, substitutions, etc? Show their company advert whilst these events are going on. (Sorry, just my business brain kicking in!!)
On arrival I was told to buy my ticket from the reception, which was fine. We then went into the sherwoods bar from here. Very impressive indeed! What a difference that building is going to make to the matchday experience. I made my way upstairs effortlessly and was greeted with an impressive view of the stadium. I cannot say how great the new facilities are, they were just amazing. I'd safely say we probably have the best facilities for fans in our league now. 3 bars to choose from (including old club house as I imagine that'll be opened too for games?) and plenty of places to get food, and a great range of food too. 10/10 again Mr Donald, it's quite fantastic!
The groundworks for the new stand have begun. It's exciting to watch the club growing and the differences since I first came are huge. It's exciting to think where this club could end up in the next 10 years, and I'm enjoying every step of the way so far. The new stand will look fantastic and I'm sure we'll see it going up very quickly very soon.
The car park looks amazing. All the trees are gone, it's all been re-tarmacked and looks great. Is there any way the ground could have a 1 way route inside it? This would help hugely with traffic leaving and arriving for games? I'm sure there is a way?
Finally, our signing of the season, the pitch!! After early negatives, aka Wimbledon, it really has shown all the positives last night!! At 80 mins into the game, baring in mind it had been raining all day, and then players warmed up on it too, there was not 1 piece of turned up turf anywhere! I may have missed it but literally couldn't see anything wrong with it. It could have had a whole game on it again straight after! So impressed with it, the ball could be passed straight, and I think it'll become the best signing of the season as our great signings can play proper football on it now.
Cannot wait for the new season to begin and see how we fare this season. Very encouraging signs with the playing squad last night too against a sheff Utd team who played high tempo from start to finish.
