Ben is a very good player who showed his class in a good Eastleigh side, since leaving us for more game time elsewhere he has struggled, get him back into a team on his wavelength and he will make a difference.....how old is he now? Is he too young for RH who seems to have little faith in under 30's....I just don't see a team long term being built while he is manager...same mistakes are being done as before....it will likely end in tears again

Yemi yes, a good team player, useful squad man and fairly cheap. Ben no. Played in spells, goals tailed off after a while, not what we are looking for.

It's fine for people to have their favourite ex players, but maybe it's best they stay as ex players. They left in the first place for a reason, not good enough. at the expection of Mandron, et al I think players like yemi, reason etc and left away from the club so we can move forward.
Onwards and upwards.

With a couple of exceptions MA got rid of right players because they were not good enough. For some reason RH thinks they are still good enough. We will see.

Ben Wright who is nearly 29 has played for more than 20 clubs and I do not think he has played more than 50 games for any of them and I do not think he has proved he can play above National League South level.
Yemi is a good impact player, but maybe past his best.

Having looked at Ben Wright's goalscoring record at Conference National Level and above it appears no better than James Constable's record in the last year and a half which is something some people have slated him for on this forum. It seems from the article that has been forwarded to us that Constable, Michael Green and Yemi Odubade are good club people which is something I believe Richard Hill values and I do too.
I think that if we are to consider signing players who are 2 weeks away from their 29th birthday the expectation is that they have a proven record of performing at Conference National level and above. There are players who come on the scene later in life, but I think these are comparatively rare.
