Not by much - over rated, he is good Wessex - mediocre Southern League, unless he has calmed down the way he speaks to refs is terrible, at a decent level would get sent off every other game

Its a pity to hear this. At one time I thought he had potential to be a very good player. Obviously somewhere down the line he has not got the coaching and guidance he needs. This is true of lots of players, and is perhaps illustrative of why this country fails time and again, against the worlds best teams. We have the players at one point, and then over time they don't make the progress they should. I am not suggesting for a moment that this is directly to do with Sam Wilson, but we do, it seems to me, have a problem in general with players of 16-20 not making the strides forward they could/should do.

To be fair, the article says that the move is to put him back in the shop window again, and if he scores a shedload of goals in the Wessex Premier, Hamble Club expect him to have moved to a higher-league club by Christmas.
Hamble are an up-and-coming club, have a decent team and creative midfield, and I would expect them to provide the chances for him to score if he is all he's cracked up to be. If he's not, they will certainly let him know about it!
