RH has the tendency to fall out with a lot of players Then in all honesty is he the man for the job?

Look at his record at Eastleigh that should tell you enough. When he first came in we where second bottom of the conference south, and he took us to the playoffs and the second season won the league, then we ended up the the playoffs of the national league.
Surely you have to give the guy a chance, before asking is he the guy for the job, just look at his record at Eastleigh.

And he had probably the biggest budget in the division, so not such a big achievement really.
Did we really do that much better when RH took over than MA's short stint ?
York, Dagenham, Solihull Moors and North Ferriby were truly dismal performances.
It'll be much harder for us to get out of the National and requires considerably more management skill.
Ego is not enough.
It was a mistake to push the panic button, as I think it's taken the club (in the broader context) back a fair few steps.

Let RH put together his squad, his players then ask the questions. Give the guy a chance first. RH job was to keep the side in the league which he did, now give him a chance to build a side.

When RH first joined us we were in a relegation spot in the Conference South. He was charged with keeping us up & he succeeded. He was then charged with getting us promoted to the National League, & he again succeeded.
When he rejoined us last season we were in freefall & heading for relegation. He was charged with keeping us up & he once more succeeded. Next season I'm sure he will again be charged with getting us promoted & I for one have the fullest confidence in him to give that a bloody good go.

Perhaps we should set the goal as avoiding relegation every season, then ultimately we will achieve our goals and have one of the most successful managers in the league.

The goal is always to come top and get promoted - achieving it is a different matter.

I am not actually sure that we were in the relegation zone when Richard Hill first took over as manager, although we were later in that season, although some good signings in the second half of the season to reach the playoffs.

It is unarguable that RH has done well with EFC. He is the manager for next season. Now get behind him and the team.

No more singing " Boom Boom Boom, let me say Ayo Ayo "will be missed next season. I thought he could still do a good job for us , as with the improving Cole. Therefore surprised about these departing, but not the other one. Less said about that one the better. I will always give any manager my support as in recent seasons, `the proof will be in the pudding` where we are in the league and the result against Dover Athletic at home.

I thought that Stearn did well when he came on at North Ferriby and scored a good goal as well.

Going for experience is fine but I guess the worry is too much of it and not enough 'youth' otherwise it becomes a 'Grandad's team' which will run out of steam in the second half of the season. RH talks about he wants fit players who can run for 94 minutes in every game and that's a big ask in the second half of the season if they have old legs to stand on!!!!! What would you prefer in March, a young player of say 24 or a player of 33 running flat out for 90 odd minutes? Very few players are still top notch from the age of 31+ no matter what league they are playing in, a few exceptions around obviously but we aren't going to find a whole batch of them....or are we actually trying that route?? I'm surprised no one has come in yet, and you perhaps wonder why is that....is the farce of last season a reason...4 managers and God knows how many players coming and going?
One supporter said to me yesterday "It's about staying up next season" and I had to disagree, we are NOT going to be in a relegation fight and it's about getting out of the league at the top end. We wait to see who actually does come in, if the new players brings an upturn in belief because at the moment I do not see us in the top seven at all (assuming the PO's does go down to 7th place)
The stand out team should be Tranmere and they ought to cruise it next season but I don't see them as champions and if so the league would be very open in my opinion with about 9 teams in with a shout...we should be one of them if we can find two good young strikers in the 25-28 age bracket....How about that strike pair from The New Saints for a start??

I don't think we will be in the relegation mix. however I do think that the chaos of last season was created by unrealistic expectations and we need to avoid that again.
If we lose 3 of our first 5 lets not panic again its a long long season and although top 7 has to be the target it's going to be competitive up there.
