Kalyne Woolery scored two excellent goals yesterday for Forest Green....but on loan from Wigan whom he now returns to....is that fair? Let's not forget Wigan bought our top striker in January...does not sit right somehow.

You could say the same for the total legend that is Jimmy Glass who kept Carlisle in the league with the last kick of the game, as he was on loan from Swindon.

If you allow loans in the league I see no reason why they shouldn't play in the last three games

Tranmere had 7 first teamers out injured. It's tough, but that's life. Would we complain if we'd signed someone on loan till the end of April and they weren't allowed to play in play-off games? No, because if you're in with a shout of beingin the play-offs, you sign a player till the end of the season or May, whatever. FGR have played by the rules. End of.
Maybe the NL should get back to the transfer windows we had in the past and tighten up on loan signings? Emergency cover only from February onwards etc. But then you're restricting opportunities for players.

Obviously FGR played within the rules, I was not questioning that. Players on loan are not allowed to play against their parent club...providing it is in the loan contract. I'm not sure if it should be allowed that loan players can play in finals. Kalyne Woolery was a class above with two wonderful goals but I sat there thinking, is that fair?

Following on...Huddersfield win penalty shoot out 4-3 with on loan goalie from Liverpool the hero to reach Premier League PO Final at Wembley...I think the only fair answer is to ban loans altogether, it might have had its purpose back in the dark ages but clubs nowadays have enough players to drop the loan system. Take Chelsea, they continue to buy all the young talent from around the world year after year (They've played in the last six FA Youth Cup Finals) yet nearly all those players are out on loan somewhere, a total of 30+ at the last count in March.
The problem is there has to be a limit on how many young players can sign for a club because as Chelsea are proving they have to send them out on loan to gain experience elsewhere, they simply have too many for their own teams at that level. Banning loans would stop clubs overloading and football at all levels would benefit as the talented ones are shared out more evenly. If you want a player you buy them or offer contracts if they are free.

careful Spirit you are going to get ridiculed in the press if you start suggesting a system that is fair to all and allows real competition. This is Britain 2017 we're having none of that, don't you know the rich work hard for their advantage. Restraint of trade, preventing aspiration are you a communist sir?

At the risk of starting ww3. I actually think the FA is the most unfairly derided body in the world. I have thought this for about the last 30 years. The English game as a whole and the pyramid system in particular are the envy of the world. Our game overall is fantastic. The other body who are criticised almost as much as the FA are the Premiership, and wow what an unbelievable competition they have too. I have in my life met a few people who actually worked for the FA. They loved football, they were passionate, and gave umpteen hours for no money to the sport. Okay they were old, but since when has being old been such a crime? I suggest we take a step back and look at the superb things the FA are doing, rather than this constant negative criticism.
There did it exposed myself to ridicule! But so what, some things just need to be said.

Jeremy Hunt once gave a tenner to charity so lets focus on that and not the destruction of the NHS 😆😆

The FA are a good body but it's got an idiot at the top but the prem is a joke for your ordinary football fan it's all about money in the prem with outrageous season ticket prices that excludes the just about managing fan and lets face it the season tickets only bring in a small percentage of the income for the rich clubs so why rip off the fans

In reality The FA don't run the game in this country anymore, The Premier League does, what they want they get, what they say goes and The FA can do nothing about it. The FA is old hat, out of date and run by men far too old to be in those positions....too many committees, too many blazers. Now the Premier League is a properly run business by professional business people, not buffoons more interested in keeping their perks when England play in the World Cup and Euro Finals.

Possible to believe the FA do a fantastic job for football, whilst believing the Tories are devastating the NHS. As someone right now awaiting a biopsy to see whether I have a return of bladder cancer, I am directly affected by delays for treatment. Under Blair I was waiting 14 days, under Hunt, 4 weeks and counting. So yes to the FA and no to Hunt.
